DAYS<br />Released on MARCH 2016 <br /><br /><i>Updating for the list of passers...</i><br /><br />The first medicine exam this 2016 covered the following subjects: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology (Day 1); physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology (Day 2); pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology medicine (Day 3); and obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health (Day 4).<br /><br />According to PRC, the <a href="http://www.prcboardnews.com/2016/03/prc-releases-march-2016-physician-board-exam-results.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">target release date of Physician board exam results</a> is on Friday, March 18, 2016 or in 4 working days after the exam.<br /><br />In February 2015 exams, results were released in just 2 working days. PRC named a total of 594 out of 832 new physicians. <br /><br />In August 2015, PRC has released results after 3 working days. 2,491 out of 2,921 successfully passed the examinations.<br /><br />We advise examinees to monitor results release starting Wednesday, March 16.<br /><br />Aside from the complete results, the schedule of registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. However, a report by PulitikaPilipinas claimed that a certain supporter of the tough talking mayor even went to the extent of issuing a death threat to Villena on social media. As of this writing, the article has been taken down.<br /><br />Netizen EJ Neri is allegedly circulating a photo of a tomb with Stephen Villena’s name encrypted on it. Ang tanong ko lamang po is hindi po ba magdagdagan yung budget niyo for defense sa pag-iimplement niyo ng ginagawa niyo sa Davao City sa buong Pilipinas if ever you will be the president? So sana pakisagot po ng diretso kasi nagtatanong po kami ng diretso dito para makauwi na po kayo.“<br /><br /><center><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tlLT7pESKVY" width="560"></iframe></center><br />Aside from being bashed online, Villena is also accused of accepting money from Liberal party presidential bet Manuel “Mar” Roxas III to disrespect Duterte.<br /><br />The controversy has prompted the Davao City mayor’s spokesperson Peter Laviña to release an <a href="https://web.facebook.com/TeamDuterte2016Page/posts/1163475557018240?__mref=message_bubble" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">official statement about the issue</a>. According to Laviña, supporters of the presidential candidate should take the high road when engaging in any kind of “discourse” involving Duterte. He also urged supporters to “exercise civility, intelligence, decency, and compassion”.<br /><br /><b>Villena writes open letter</b><br /><br />On Sunday, March 13, Villena has decided to break his silence regarding the controversy he is currently embroiled in through an <a href="https://web.facebook.com/penggoy.08/posts/1089182757768976" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">open letter</a>. In a lengthy Facebook post, Villena said that the video which circulated on social media did not show the full exchange between him and Duterte.<br /><br />Villena wrote: “The cut video somehow made it appear na pinapauwi ko na si Mayor. Hindi po, sya po ang nagmadali na umuwi. In fact I only wanted to accomodate his wish to finish the Q&A portion of the forum asap. The end result was that the people who only saw the shortened video but did not participate in the forum somehow got the impression that I was bastos, arrogante, walang modo.”<br /><br />Towards the end of his open letter, Villena pointed out that he is not a blood relative of any candidate running for the national office. Pia Cayetano's the health bill</a>, which mandates PhilHealth to cover the treatment of rare diseases, has finally been signed into law.<br /><br />Republic Act 10747, otherwise known as the Rare Diseases Act of the Philippines, was signed by Pres. Benigno S. Aquino III early March. The new law seeks to "improve the access of patients diagnosed to have a rare disease, or patient highly suspected of having a rare disease, to comprehensive medical care and to timely health information to help them cope with their condition."<br /><br />Guingona co-sponsored the Rare Diseases Act legislated by Sen. Pia Cayetano, who serves as vice chair of Guingona's health committee. "To patients afflicted with rare diseases, the law ends the days of going through it alone," Guingona said. "It puts into place a permanent and sustainable mechanism by which government could care for the health of everyone with rare or orphan disorders."<br /><br />The Philippine Society of Orphan Disorders informs that, apart from those whose ailment is undetected or kept in secret, rare diseases afflict one out of 20,000 people. Children comprise as much as 75 percent of those with rare diseases.<br /><br />Guingona said that unlike patients with conventional ailments, those afflicted with rare diseases often need treatment and care for the rest of their lives. Accordingly, RA 10747stipulates that those suffering from a rare disease will be considered as Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and shall enjoy the same benefits mandated by RA 7277, as amended, or the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons.<br /><br />In addition, the new law mandates that orphan drugs and products for the sole use of patients with rare diseases, as certified by the FDA will be exempted from all taxes and customs duties.<br /><br />"I thank the President and Sen. Pia Cayetano for giving the sick a fighting chance and once again demonstrating the administration's policy of inclusivity," said Guingona.</div>

Dapat naman siguro kayo naman ang bayaran ng allowances for your internship programs. Kasi kahit na ba estudyante lang, hindi naman nila-lang ang tulong ninyo sa ospital," she said in response to a student's question on the plight of unemployed nurses.<br /><br />Private health institutions are known to collect fees from their internship applicants as students compete for slots in big-name hospitals and employment possibilities abroad. Even government institutions used to have a professional volunteer nurse program, where nursing graduates pay a fee so they can gain experience working in tertiary hospitals.<br /><br />The senator, who had proposed legislation requiring government offices to compensate and train its interns, said government hospitals should reserve specific slots for nursing students.<br /><br />"Para sa akin ang government hospital dapat mandated mag-hire mga intern na nurse at bigyan (sila) ng sweldo. At least magbigay sila ng cut-off, halimbawa five percent of the workforce will be students," Poe said.<br /><br />There are 5,294 government nurses as of 2011, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority. This means there is only one government nurse for every 18,000 Filipinos, a long way from the ideal ratio of 23 nurses per 10,000 population.<br /><br />Last year, Poe filed Senate Bill No. 2946, which seeks to institutionalize the Government Internship Program (GIP) and set aside P100 million for the compensation and training of all government interns.<br /><br />Under Poe's proposal, all government interns who are able to fulfill their duties shall receive 70 percent of the Step 1, Salary Grade 1 under the Salary Standardization Law. This is equivalent to a monthly pay of P6,750, to be given every 12th and 27th of the month.<br /><br />"Kayo ay nagpupuyat rin, kayo ay nagbibihis sa mga pasyente, kayo ang nagbibigay ng gamot, kayo ang umaalalay sa kanila tapos kayo pa ang magbabayad ng mga libro at mga uniform ninyo para pumunta doon? Poe said.<br /><br />The leading presidential candidate vowed to push for the strict implementation of the Magna Carta for Health Workers, which provides hazard and subsistence allowances for government health workers.<br /><br />She said she also supports increasing the minimum salary of nurses to P25,000 monthly. An entry-level government nurse is paid P19,000 monthly, which is higher than the P13,000 remuneration of nurses in private hospitals.<br /><br />"Kailangan pataasin. Kailangan magkaroon ng hazard pay ang mga nurses natin. Kasi katulad nyan, nagpunta kami sa inyong ospital dito, andaming overworked, underpaid. Merong nahawahan ng meningococcemia na isang health worker. Kailangan talaga meron silang additional pay," Poe said.</div>

Although she was tempted to spray pepper spray on the girl’s face, Mary hesitated realizing that her attacker is just a little girl.<br /><br />The young girl soon moved to her next target and did the same modus operandi. This gave Mary the chance to capture the girl’s photo.<br /><br />When Mary was about to leave, the girl stood in front of her car and aimed the rock at her vehicle.<br /><br />“I am shocked and appalled at what this girl is capable of. Instead of alerting the LRT 1 management about the problem, the guard simply asked them to hold on tightly to the handrails inside the train. Cubelo even likened the experience to an amusement ride in Star City.<br /><br />“Sumakay kami ng friend ko sa LRT1 from Central Station. Napansin namin na hindi nag-close ang door pero tumatakbo na, nagulat nalang kami nung sinabi ni manong guard na kumapit nalang kami ng mabuti, ano to! Star City lang ang peg, ganun!” Cubelo wrote in the caption of his post.<br /><br />(My friend and I rode LRT 1 from Central Station. Apparently, a political candidate from Marikina City has allegedly taken advantage of the promo.<br /><br />On Thursday, March 11, McDonald’s issued an advisory on its social media pages along with a photo of a certain Ferdie Marco, who is a candidate for councilor in the first district of Marikina City.<br /><br />“This is to inform the public that National Breakfast Day is a promotion solely organized by McDonald’s Philippines and is not sponsored by any other organization or individual.
