San Pedro, Chairman; Dr. Remy B. Dequiña, Dr. Josephine H. Hipolito, Dr. Lolita I. Dicang and Ms. Rhodora L. Lopez, Members.<br /><br /><b>Roll of Successful Examinees in the</b><br /><b>MIDWIFE LICENSURE EXAMINATION</b><br />Held on APRIL 17 & 18, 2016<br />Released on APRIL 2016<br /><br /><i>Updating for the list of passers...</i><br /><br />The two-day exam covered the following subjects: obstetrics, fundamentals of health care, infant care and feeding (Day 1) and primary health care and professional growth and development (Day 2).<br /><br /><b>According to PRC, the <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.prcboardnews.com/2016/04/prc-releases-april-2016-midwives-board-exam-results.html" target="_blank">target release date of Midwifery board exam</a> is on Thursday, April 21, 2016 or in 3 working days after the exam.</b><br /><br />In April 2015 exam, results were out in 3 working days. PRC named 882 out of 1,968 who have passed the Midwife Licensure Examination. <br /><br />In November 2015 exams, results were also released in 3 working days. 1,273 out of 2,867 successfully hurdled the test.<br /><br />The registration schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P450 and Annual Registration Fee of P420 for 2016-2019. LOOK: Controversial Pugoy hostage crisis depicted in Duterte comics

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">MANILA, Philippines -The story behind the controversial Pugoy hostage crisis in Davao City prison in 1989 has been revealed in the comic book: "Digong: Ang Kanlungan ng mga Inaapi at Inaabuso.”<br /><br />Written by KC Cordero and JM Estrabela, the comic book shows the feat of Duterte including his role in the hostage taking of 36-year-old Australian missionary Jaqueline Hamill as well as 14 other victims. In the end, Duterte was able to convince Pugoy to go back to the jail.<br /><br />Another hostage incident was shown in the next panel. This time, the hostage-taking took place inside Camp Leonor in August 1989 where Hamill was one of the victims. The female prayer warrior of the Joyful Assembly of God was gang raped and killed during the incident.<br /><br />In the comic book, the mayor, who was in his first mayoral term at that time, said: "Pinatay na nila lahat ang hostages, kailangan pa ba ang negosasyon? (They killed all the hostages, do we still need a negotiation?) His remark quickly earned the ire of netizens and several women’s rights groups.<br /><br />He said: "T***a, sayang ito. Ang napasok sa isip ko, ni-rape nila. Pinagpilahan nila. Nagalit ako kasi ni-rape. Oo, isa rin yun. Napakaganda. Although their bus was not supposed to exit in Alabang, their bus took that route because the emergency situation. Some of us prayed and some of us were in tears.I've witnessed the Millennial version of Bayanihan.”<br /><br />Some passengers including Mendoza gave the bus driver the directions to Asian Hospital. While passengers moms did their part by turning bus curtains as blanket to cover the woman while giving birth, passenger dads used their voices as a siren to help the conductor of the bus.<br /><br />Luckily, the bus finally reached Asia Hospital, where the woman and her baby received appropriate medical attention.<br /><br />“It was a heart warming feeling for everyone who did their part... I've realized that each of us has an important role to play to be united. I think we can all learn from this experience,” Mendoza added.<br /><br />Bayanihan, a core essence of the Filipino culture, is the act of helping out one’s neighbor as a community to help make the job easier and lessen the work load. Also called “community spirit”, traditional bayanihan is best exhibited when Filipinos help their neighbor move from one location to another by lifting and carrying their house or bahay kubo with the help of wooden poles.<br /><br /><b>--Mini, The Summit Express</b></div>
