Ochoa, Jr., Executive Secretary, by authority of President Benigno Aquino III announced that March 17 (Thursday) will be additional holiday in the City of Davao for the celebration of its “Araw ng Pasasalamat” based on <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.gov.ph/2016/03/03/proclamation-no-1234-s-2016/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">proclamation no. 1234</a>.<br /><br />Ochoa also announced <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.gov.ph/2016/03/15/proclamation-no-1237-s-2016/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">proclamation no. 1237</a> declaring special non-working holiday in the province of Masbate for its  115th Foundation Day on March 18 (Friday).<br /><br />"It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Masbate be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies," the proclamation stated.<br /><br />In addition, <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.gov.ph/2016/02/29/proclamation-no-1231-s-2016/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">proclamation no. 1231</a> declared March 22 (Tuesday) as special holiday in the province of Cavite for the celebration of the birth anniversary of General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Republic of the Philippines.<br /><br />On Friday, March 11, Ochoa also announced class and work suspensions in Antipolo for its 18th cityhood anniversary celebration.</div>
