RESULTS: Over 59% pass 2016 bar exam

Miranda topped the 2015 Bar Examinations with the highest over-all rating of 87.40%. A total of 1,731 out of the 6,605 (26.21%) passed the bar.<br /><br />In 2014 bar exam, Irene Mae Alcobilla, graduate of San Beda College of Law Manila aced the bar with 85.50% grade.<br /><b><br /></b> <b>BAR EXAM OVERVIEW</b><br /><br />Bar exam is also the only licensure examination not administered by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC). The 2016 edition had 100% essay-type questions based on bulletin about guide and rules of conduct of bar examinations posted on SC website.<br /><br />The examination covered the following topics and their associated subtopics, popularly known as the bar subjects: Political Law and Public International Law, Labor and Social Legislation, Civil Law, Taxation, Mercantile Law, Criminal Law, Remedial law and Legal and Judicial Ethics.</div></div>
