MANILA, Philippines - The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has summoned the directors, producer and writer of ABS-CBN's hit primetime teleserye "Till I Met You" to discuss issues on the October 25, 26, 27 and 28 episodes.
In a letter from MTRCB Chairperson Eugenio H. Villareal on Wednesday, November 2, the Board asks 'TIMY' directors Antoinette Jadaone and Andoy Ranay, executive producer Arnel Nacario and writer Shugo Praico for a conference on Thursday, November 10.
According to MTRCB, the purportedly daring love-making scene of James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine)'s characters inside a motor vehicle in the October 25 episode was unfit for television. This is in reference to the feedback of the viewers, despite the "Strong Parental Guidance" for that particular scene.
The most controversial episode which hit a national TV rating of 15.9% garnered more than a million tweets on Twitter and topping the trending topics worldwide.
As regards to the October 26 episode, the Board said they received feedback about the casual use of words "sex lang yan" without reference to, or in disregard of, the institution of marriage.
The bath-scenes on October 27 and 28 were also said to be inappropriate for television.
"With the above, considering that 'PG' and 'SPG' ratings still admit the reality of having young audiences, the Board shall expect you to present your side at the said conference which shall be before a Committee particulady designated for the matter," MTRCB said.
"Till I Met You", the second teleserye of JaDine loveteam, premiered on August 29. It follows the story of three friends — Iris (Nadine ), Basti (James), and Ali (JC Santos).
