Rogelio T. Casurao said that 29,691 will take the PNP entrance exam while 14,311 are distributed to the various promotional test categories.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br /><b>OCTOBER 2017 NAPOLCOM Exam Results Summary </b><i>(check back for the updates):</i><br /><div style="text-align: left;"></div><ul><li>Superintendent</li><li>Police Inspector</li><li>Senior Police Officer (SPO)</li><li>Police Officer (PO)</li><li>PNP Entrance</li><li>Top 20</li></ul><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Casurao added that a big chunk of examinees came from the National Capital Region (NCR): 3,217 of the 29,691 examinees for the PNP entrance test and 2,872 of the 14,311 police examinees for promotional tests.</div><br />The NAPOLCOM exam covers the qualifications for Police Officer I and the promotional examinations for Police Officers 2 and 3; Senior Police Officer (for SPO1 to SPO4); Police Inspector (for Inspector and Senior Inspector); and Police Superintendent (for Chief Inspector and Superintendent).<br /><br /><b>COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION</b><br /><br />The three-hour examination for PNP entrance exam consists of objective-type and multiple choice items on general information, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning.<br /><br />The promotional examinations, also in 3 hours, include general information, police administration and operations, and police customs and tradition/values and ethical standards.<br /><br /><b>RELEASE OF RESULTS</b><br /><br />The expected release of October 2017 NAPOLCOM exam results is after <b>2-3 months or anytime in January 2018.</b><br /><br />In April 2017 exams, results were released online after three (3) months. A total of 2,026 or 7.63% out of the 26,561 examinees passed the PNP Entrance exam. Meanwhile, 5,610 out of 15,763 (35.59%) passed the promotional examinations.<br /><br />In the October 2016 exam, results were announced after two months. Verification of test results will be entertained at the NAPOLCOM central office and its regional offices nationwide.<br /><br /><b>NAPOLCOM EXAM OVERVIEW</b><br /><br />The PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who are not more than 30 years old, bachelor’s degree holder, and 1.57 meters (female) and 1.62 meters (male) in height.<br /><br />Police Officers I (PO1) whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility are also required to take the PNP Entrance Examination.<br /><br />On the other hand, the Promotional Examinations are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.<br /><br /><b>NEXT NAPOLCOM EXAM</b><br /><br />The first NAPOLCOM exam this 2018 is set on April 22. The On-line Exam Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) for the PNP Entrance is on January 29 - February 2, 2018.
