Duque, Members.<br /><br /><b>Roll of Successful Examinees in the</b><br /><b>PHYSICAL THERAPIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION</b><br />Held on FEBRUARY 7&8, 2016<br />Released on FEBRUARY 2016<br /><br /><i>Updating for the list of passers...</i><br /><br /><b>Roll of Successful Examinees in the</b><br /><b>OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION</b><br />Held on FEBRUARY 7&8, 2016<br />Released on FEBRUARY 2016<br /><br /><i>Updating for the list of passers...</i><br /><br />PT-OT examination covered the following subjects: basic sciences, medical and surgical condition and pathology (Day 1) and physical therapy applications, electrotherapy, therapeutics exercises and principles rehabilitation and hydrotherapy (Day 2).<br /><br /><b>According to PRC, the <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.prcboardnews.com/2016/02/prc-releases-february-2016-physical-occupational-therapist-pt-ot-board-exam-results.html" target="_blank">target date of release of Physical and Occupational therapist board exam</a> results is on Thursday, February 11, 2016 or in 3 working days after the exam.</b><br /><br />In February 2015 exams, results were released online in 3 working days. PRC announced that 412 out of 766 passed the Physical Therapist exams while 54 out of 87 passed the Occupational Therapist board exams.<br /><br />In August 2015, official results were announced in 2 working days. PRC named 550 out of 868 who have passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 107 out of 170 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination.<br /><br />We advise examinees to monitor results starting Wednesday, February 10.<br /><br />Aside from the complete results, the schedule of registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. <br /><br />Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, PRC said.<br /><br />The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.<br /><br />Like Us on Facebook, Follow Us on Twitter or subscribe to our email list to receive more updates.</div>

Since the said hospital was the nearest medical facility to their village, Del Rosario’s father together with their driver/neighbor brought Del Rosario’s mother there.<br /><br />After seeing the result of his mother’s ECG test, the doctor advised to have her transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a closer observation. His father was then instructed to go to the admission window where he was required to pay a downpayment of P40,000.<br /><br />Unfortunately, Del Rosario’s father only had P10,000 at that time and would have to go home to get extra cash. Aware that his wife was in critical condition, Del Rosario’s father asked the admission staff to accept his money and promised to settle the balance as soon as possible by returning home to get extra cash. <br /><br />“In fact, he just asked that my mother be given urgent medical attention and he could settle the rest of the "required downpayment" later, considering that my father has the capacity to pay,” Del Rosario write.<br /><br />Sadly, the staff did not grant the request of Del Rosario’s father and refused to admit the patient to the ICU. According to the staff, they were following the hospital’s protocol: “no downpayment, no admission.”<br /><br />Furthermore, the attending doctor also echoed the remarks of the admission staff and even advised Del Rosario’s father to transfer the patient to a public hospital or a charity ward of another private hospital.<br /><br />The doctor allegedly told Del Rosari’s father: <i>“Hindi naman ho sa minamata ko kayo ha, kakayanin niyo ho ba magbayad?”</i><br /><br />(We’re not discriminating you, but do you have the capacity to pay?)<br /><br />Del Rosario’s father had no choice but to take his wife out of the hospital since the doctor also refused to let the former leave the patient at the hospital. " width="347" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption">Ricky Reyes loses in discrimination case filed by an HIV positive former employee. <br />Photo Credit: Gandang Ricky Reyes TODO Na.</td></tr></tbody></table>In a decision made by the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) on Saturday, February 6, Reyes’s company Ricky Reyes Corporation was ordered to reinstate Nocos and pay him back salary, benefits, differentials, emergency cost of living allowances, 13th month pay, separation pay and attorney’s fees amounting to P615,313.06.<br /><br />“HIV illness is not highly contagious and it is not transmitted through touching, hugging, sneezing, coughing, eating or drinking common utensils or being around an infected person. Thus, the means by which they (Reyes et al) tried to protect their other employees and customers unduly trampled upon the rights of the complainant,” the decision of the NLRC said as quoted by Associated Labor Unions-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (ALU-TUCP).<br /><br />But according to the counsel of Ricky Reyes Corp., Marcos Estrada, Reyes appealed the ruling handed down by the NLRC. The Reyes camp insisted that Nocos “distorted the truth”. <br /><br />Estrada stressed that the company had actually shouldered Nocos’ treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis in 2013 based on the diagnosis he presented to the company at that time. Nocos was asked to go on sick leave with pay and obtain a medical certificate showing that he was still fit to work.<br /><br />When Nocos returned for work with the medical certificate, he was reassigned to a salon branch on España, Manila. However, Reyes’s  business partner Tonneth Moreno noticed Nocos was still coughing prompting him to ask how the employee was able to get a medical certificate declaring him fit.<br /><br />“It was then that he admitted he also had HIV and that he didn’t tell his doctor he had HIV,” Estrada explained.<br /><br />As a result, Nocos was asked to take a paid leave and obtain another medical clearance indicating he was fit to work. But according to Reyes’s camp, Nocos didn’t return and went directly to the NLRC to file the complaint.<br /><br />Estrada added that there’s no reason for Nocos to be dismissed if he was able to come up with a medical clearance saying he was HIV positive since the disease isn’t as contagious as tuberculosis.<br /><br />Reyes’s lawyer also accused ALU-TUCP of politicking and using Nocos to “boost their candidacy” in the upcoming elections this May. The Reyes camp, according to Estrada, is considering a damage suit against the labor group running in the party-list elections. <b><i>-Mini/The Summit Express</i></b></div>
