It is expected that around 12 million people will join the activities marking the Feast of the Black Nazarene.<br /><br />Work suspension in all departments, offices and bureaus in the city government was also announced. This excludes those involved in:<br /><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>maintenance of peace and order;</li><li>traffic enforcement;</li><li>disaster and risk reduction management;</li><li>health and sanitation; and</li><li>issuance of business permits and collection of taxes.</li></ul><br />But Estrada said the suspension of work in national government offices and private offices in the city "is left to the discretion of their heads of office."<br /><br />“We are mobilizing all hospitals, the entire Manila police force, doctors, City Hall’s engineering department and the garbage department to be in full force during the Feast of the Black Nazarene,” he said.<br /><br />Erap will meet with Monsignor Jose Clemente Ignacio, rector of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, for preparations for the feast, Estrada said.<br /><br />The Feast of Black Nazarene commemorates the 'Traslación' or Passage of life-sized, dark wooden statue of Jesus Christ through procession or transfer of the image to its present shrine in Quiapo church. Joshua telling his church members to pray for the nation of Indonesia, describing "a situation which will cost a lot of lives, suddenly".<br /><br />These were his words: "I have a message for the nation, Indonesia. This country, Indonesia - I don’t know what is happening. They should pray for Indonesia. That is, the nation Indonesia. When it comes to this disaster issue, I don’t want to mention it. It looks so nasty to me to mention - a situation where it will cost a lot of lives, suddenly. This is a crash. Why should this continue to happen there? I think there is a nature - a geographical atmosphere. There is something there that they should look into.”<br /><br />Early in the morning on Sunday, December 28, 2014, an AirAsia passenger jet (Flight 8501) carrying 162 people lost contact with Indonesian air traffic control. A development on search operations happened on Tuesday as search officials said the debris found in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo is from the missing plane. This figure is 39% lower than the five-year average and 45% lower compared to the same period last year. No death was reported.<br /><br />Most (51) of the cases came from the National Capital Region, followed by Northern Mindanao (12), Davao Region (11), and Cagayan Valley (10). At the National Capital Region, Manila has the most number of cases (22), followed by Pasig (10). Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, and Pasay had three cases each.<br /><br />Of the 139 cases of fireworks injuries, 87% were males whose age ranged from 3-68 years. There were 51 cases (37%) children less than 10 years old and 102 (73%) were active users.<br /><br />The top causes of injuries were piccolo (67%), unknown firecrackers (6%), and five star, camara, and boga with 4% each.<br /><br />“We can celebrate the holiday season without fireworks. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 11 kph.<br /><br /><b>Typhoon Seniang Forecast Positions:</b><br /><br /><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>24 hour (December 31, morning): 235 km West Northwest of Dumaguete City.</li><li>48 hour (January 1, morning): 115 km South Southwest of Puerto Princesa City.</li><li>72 hour (January 2, morning): 450 km Southwest of Puerto Princesa City.</li></ul><br /><br />PAGASA raised <b>Public Storm Warning Signal PSWS#2</b>(Winds of 61-100 kph is expected in at least 24 hrs) over Visayas in the following provinces: Bohol, Siquijor, Cebu, Guimaras, Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental. Metro Manila, Calabarzon, MIMAROPA and the rest of of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from Northeast to Northwest over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.</div>

He said the plane had asked for an unusual route before it lost contact, Reuters reported. <br /><br />At this time, search and rescue operations are in progress and AirAsia is cooperating fully and assisting the rescue service.<br /><br />AirAsia has established an Emergency Call Centre that is available for family or friends of those who may have been on board the aircraft.
