Pagalilauan was no longer rushed to a hospital after being declared dead on the spot.<br /><br />In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, homicide investigator Police Officer 3 Al Layugan said: “Pagalilauan, according to Ani, was not satisfied with the photos they had taken so she decided to climb up the parapet wall.”<br /><br />Despite Ani’s warning not to climb the wall, Pagalilauan proceeded. Since Ani was busy scanning the selfies they took, she didn’t see Pagalilauan fall. <br /><br />Pagalilauan’s boyfriend, who is currently in Mindanao, rents a unit at the fourth floor of the said condominium. According to the police, the two students went to the condominium to dye Pagalilauan’s hair. <br /><br />The two decided to postpone the hairdying and opted to take selfies at the roofdeck. Pagalilauan thought the sunset, which could be viewed at the roofdeck, would make a nice background for the pictures.<br /><br />Initially, the students took photos at the safer spot on the roofdeck. However, Pagalilauan decided to move to the parapet wall to take pictures from below the roofdeck.<br /><br />Pagalilauan reportedly told Ani: “I’m climbing the wall, take my photo.”<br /><br />Ani, who was busy reviewing the pictures they took, replied: “Don’t! You might fall.”<br /><br />Shortly after, Ani saw half of Pagalilauan’s body as it fell down the building. The student tried to get help from guards in the condominium building but her efforts remained futile as Pagalilauan instantly died from her fall. <b><i>- Mini/TheSummitExpress</i></b></div>

Screengrab from Youtube.</td></tr></tbody></table>In the videos that have since gone viral, several men speaking in Filipino and Ilocano were caught taking turns in firing two rifles into the air in the presence of onlookers. The controversial 39-second video uploaded on the Evan Demata Facebook page on Sunday, January 3 earned the ire of netizens.<br /><br />One of the men was identified by Senior Superintendent Rolie Saltat, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan PPO as Eduardo Quinit. Siya si Eduardo Quinit na taga-Barangay Pindangan, Sison, Pangasinan. Pero wala na ito doon. 1996 nang mag-migrate sila sa Guam. Kaya hindi ito sa Pangasinan ginawa, yung pagpapaputok ng baril.”<br /><br />(We already identified him. He is Eduardo Quinit from Barangay Pindangan, Sison, Pangasinan. But he no longer lives there since he migrated to Guam in 1996. That’s why the indiscriminate firing incident didn’t take place in Pangasinan.)<br /><br />According to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ricardo Marquez, they will no longer focus on the said indiscriminate firing incident since it occurred outside the Philippines. Instead, the PNP will be focusing on other cases of indiscriminate firing in the country.<br /><br />As of 10 a.m. on Monday, January 4, the PNP has documented 41 stray bullet-related injuries without fatalities and recorded 54 stray bullet incidents since they started counting victims on December 16. <br /><br />A total of 9 people, 7 of whom were civilians, one was a policeman, and another one was a security guard, have been arrested due to illegal discharge of firearms as of 10 am on Monday, January 4. Garcia on Tuesday, January 5, an unidentified cab driver, whose vehicle plate number is UWB666, was caught on camera threatening female passengers from SM North EDSA on their way to POEA in Mandaluyong City.<br /><br />According to Garcia, the driver initially charged a P250 fixed fare. Garcia refused to accept his offer insisting that she would pay based on metered rate. When they reached POEA, Garcia gave the driver P200 expecting a P50 change. To Garcia’s surprise, the driver began violently shouting and cursing at her when she was asked for her change.<br /><br />Although the taxi meter only registered P140, the driver stressed that Garcia should pay him P350. The driver, who refused to give their change, repeatedly cursed on Garcia and her companion and even threatened to hurt them if they wouldn’t alight the taxi.<br /><br />When the driver noticed that Garcia was taking his video, he allegedly hurt her prompting them to get off the taxi. USTET results for AY 2016-2017 release is on March 15, 2016 - UST

The remaining 60 percent will come from USTET results.<br /><br />To avoid problems in the release of USTET results, UST advised takers to forward the complete set of documents to the OFAD personally or through any courier service.<br /><br />The premier university also said that passing the USTET is not the sole basis for admission to some strands (freshmen). A second screening is required by the Conservatory of Music in the form of an audition and an artwork rendition for the College of Architecture.<br /><br />For AY 2016-2017, the target release date of results is late by several weeks as compared to the previous years. For this year USTET results, it is also expected that the complete list of passers will be posted at the UST campus after a day the results were released online.<br /><br />Note: Link to UST Admission results page portal will be available here once results are out online.<br /><br />In December last year, UST said it will open 7 more programs for AY 2016- 2017 applicants: BS Biology, BS Biochemistry, BS Psychology, AB Journalism, AB Legal Management, AB Economics and BS Nursing. <br /><br />Applicants may change their priority or alternative programs by submitting a letter of request, personally or by courier, on or before Jan. 15, 2016, the admissions office said.<br /><br />This brings to 20 the total number of programs to be offered next academic year, the start of the transition to the K to 12 basic education scheme that has forced colleges and universities nationwide to shut down or cut their degree offerings.<br /><br />The institution expects freshman enrollment to go down drastically next year as high school students will spend two more years in secondary education, or Grades 11 and 12, instead of going to college.<br /><br />UST is one of the best education institutions in the Philippines and the largest Catholic University in the World in terms of student population in a single campus. Nakatatak sa alaala ko ang mga ngisi at tawanan ng mga staff at cameramen niyo kapag nagpapakawala kayo ng mga mura. Hindi niyo alam kung gaanong iginagalang ng napakaraming tao ang “ekstrang” minura-mura at ipinahiya ninyo,” Domingo wrote in her Facebook note.<br /><br />(It’s very painful for me to witness my boyfriend being cursed in front of many people. The smirks and laughs of the staff and cameramen as she says curse words are in my memory. You don’t know how much respect people give to that “extra” you cursed and humiliated.)<br /><br />Campomanes, a University of the Philippines educator and historian, filed a complaint addressed to ABS-CBN broadcast head Ma. Socorro V. Vidanes on October 22, 2014. He urged the network giant to take disciplinary actions against Molina, a certain Jeng and talent coordinator John Leonardo, who took Camponanes as a substitute actor.<br /><br />In the letter of complaint, Campomanes detailed how Molina verbally abused after he failed to follow the instructions she gave him during the first day of taping. The first-time actor claimed that he was “denigrated” by Molina during the second day of taping after he committed errors in blocking. <br /><br />“I was verbally abused. ‘P*tang *na! Ang hirap turuan!’ ‘K*nang *na!’ ‘P*ksh*t ka, Makoy!’ At that point, I remember Joey Marquez spared me from further humiliation by coaching me on how to position my body for that particular scene. I believe he was uncomfortable seeing me endure all those hurtful remarks, aware as he was that his daughter Winwyn was my student in San Beda. As a matter of prudence, I struggled to maintain my composure. I did not want to engage a woman who is almost as old as my parents in a shouting match. I am the better person. I was raised well by my parents. I was formed well by my teachers. I am an educator. It was reported that the crime committed in April 2010 originated from a rental dispute.<br /><br />DFA spokesperson Charles Jose told Rappler in a text message: “The Philippine government has undertaken and exhausted all diplomatic and legal efforts, and extended consular and legal assistance to preserve the life of Mr Zapanta. The Philippine government provided the late Mr Zapanta all necessary assistance and ensured that his legal rights were observed throughout the whole judicial process.”<br /><br />From November 28 to December 2, in March 2013 and in November 2012, the government “arranged and funded the jail visits” of Zapanta’s mother and sister to the Malaz Central Prison.<br /><br />Zapanta’s family including his father, mother, sister and two children will continue to  receive assistance from the government.<br /><br /><b>Zapanta’s remains will not be repatriated </b><br /><br />In an interview with radio dzBB, Jose revealed that Zapanta’s body was immediately buried following the execution as it is a common practice of the Saudi government. Zapanta had converted to Islam years ago and such practice is also in accordance with the Islam burial tradition.<br /><br />Although the DFA informed Zapanta’s family that he could be executed anytime, the Philippine government was not informed about the exact date and time of the convicted Filipino’s execution. <br /><br />A report by dzBB divulged that the government failed to raise the P48 million blood money demanded by the Riyadh court in order to save Zapanta’s life.
