Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.<br /><br /><b>COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION</b><br /><br />The 4-day examination covered the following subjects: <br /><br />October 7: Taxation (removal and first timer), business law and taxation (removal), financial accounting and reporting (removal and first timer), practical accounting I (removal<br /><br />October 8: Auditing (removal and first timer), auditing theory (removal) and theory of accounts (removal).<br /><br />October 14: Advanced financial accounting and reporting (removal and first timer) and practical accounting II (removal), regulatory framework for business transactions (removal and first timer) and auditing problems (removal)<br /><br />October 15: Management advisory services (removal and first timer) and management services (removal)<br /><br /><b>RELEASE OF RESULTS</b><br /><br />According to <b>PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019</b>, the target release of results for the recent CPA board exam is on <b>Wednesday, October 25 or in 6 working days</b> after the test (8 days on original assumption). Note that government work was suspended on Monday and Tuesday (October 16 and 17) due to nationwide transport strike.<br /><br />In the same period last year (October 2016), results were released online in eight (8) working days after the exams. PRC named 5,249 out of 14,390 (36.48%) who have succcessfully hurdled the exams.<br /><br />In October 2015, results were announced in four (4) working days. A total of 5,468 out of 13,317 (41.06%) passed the series of tests.<br /><br />We advise takers to monitor announcement of results starting Friday, October 20 (3 working days) until the 25th or 6 working days after the exam. It is the administrative seat of the system as well as an autonomous university in its own right," the QS website said.<br /><br />"UP Diliman is not only the home of diverse colleges, offering 94 graduate and undergraduate courses, it also runs several centers of research, many of which have been declared by the Commission on Higher Education as National Centers of Excellence," the website added.<br /><br />The Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) placed second with its ranking up by 4 spots versus previous year.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />The De La Salle University (DLSU) is next with its ranking improved from 143 to 134 this year.<br /><br />University of Santo Tomas (UST) got the big lift after improving the ranking from 157 to 145 this year. Once again, the oldest university in Asia and the largest Catholic University obtained four QS Stars, the lone local university to receive the merit.<br /><br />"UST graduates consistently and yearly dominate the top ten in courses with board exams (Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Engineering, Architecture, Accountancy, Education, etc.). This proves the University's superior academic programs," the website said.<br /><br />“QS Stars is a rating system which allows students to get a wider picture of an institution’s qualities, looking at everything from the employability of graduates, to sports facilities and community engagement. It is designed to reflect the nuanced mission of universities, and the needs of students who may be interested in things other than those to which traditional rankings are necessarily limited,” QS said.<br /><br />Completing the list are the two universities outside the capital Manila: University of San Carlos (USC) in Cebu and the Dumaguete-based Silliman University (SU). Amy Perez also became a showgirl as she changed her outfit with the wave of a cloth. She also sizzled in her sexy rendition of “All that Jazz.” For the finale, Billy performed a breathtaking magic trick where he transported the rest of the team across the studio.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />The madlang people scored a majority of 10. Direk Rory shared her experience, “It was so fun to watch.” Janno agreed that it was a very good performance and commended Amy. But lo and behold, Scottie Thompson came to the rescue with his rebounding and putback prowess that made the game tight.<br /><br />Ginebra was too prompt to match up Meralco’s agility and intensity and so, Coach Norman Black unveiled his backup game plan: good ball distribution. Meralco took a 9-point, 17-8 advantage due to unselfish basketball of its players: finding the right and open man for the sure basket. Meralco became a little bit of careless on the floor while Ginebra led by veteran Mark Caguioa began to attack and trim down the lead.<br /><br />During the Ginebra onslaught, PBA legend and basketball icon Robert Jaworski Sr. entered the venue to support his team. His presence helped boost the morale of Barangay Ginebra and took the lead from Meralco, 28-27 with 7 more minutes remaining in the half.<br /><br />Old but never forgotten. Despite the limited minutes, veterans Mark Caguioa and Sol Mercado made most of their time on the court. Caguioa alone posted 6 markers that initiated the Ginebra comeback.<br /><br />It was all Ginebra locals who were giving Coach Black a headache. Justin Brownlee only had 7 points but in spite of his slow start, Barangay Ginebra still managed to post a 3-point, 40-37 lead after the 1st half.<br /><br />Meralco slightly recovered at the start of the 2nd half. Allen Durham led the way as his team regained the lead, 41-40. Durham, the back-to-back Best Import had already recorded 16 points with over 21 minutes remaining in the game.<br /><br />After being scoreless for almost 5 minutes, Ginebra finally made a basket through a loose ball converted to a slam dunk from Japeth Aguilar followed by a monster swat. Ranidel De Ocampo however, pulled the trigger from the corner three as an answer to fellow Gilas Pilipinas cager.<br /><br />Aside from Allen Durham, another notable Bolt was Ranidel De Ocampo. RDO was a perfect aid for Durham in guarding Ginebra’s Joe Devance and Japeth Aguilar while the Meralco import took care of Slaughter. De Ocampo jotted down a dozen boards with one more period to go.<br /><br />Justin Brownlee who was almost a sleeper in this game, tied the game at 57 apiece with just a minute to go in the penultimate quarter. But Allen Durham sank 2 charities to retake the lead and Garvo Lanete ended the quarter with a trey. 62-57 in favor of Meralco.<br /><br />LA Tenorio and Sol Mercado combined efforts to level the scores at 62 as the final quarter unfolded.<br /><br />Meralco relied heavily on its transition offense that resulted to another 6-point lead and cost Coach Tim Cone another timeout. <br /><br />Coach Cone realized that his team was outrebounded by the smaller Meralco Bolts in entire game so he decided to field in his twin towers to take care of the boards and kick them out to the open man which became effective and tied the game anew, 75-all under 4 minutes of the game.<br /><br />LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson added 2 points each to widen Ginebra’s lead to 4, 79-75 with 1:44 remaining in the game clock. <br /><br />Justin Brownlee located the wide-opened LA Tenorio for a seamless three pointer for a 6-point lead. The biggest margin that Ginebra recorded in this game. However, the Office of the Executive Secretary said the announcement does not include suspension on Tuesday.<br /><br />As clarified, the private sector will not be covered (but subject to discretion of employers). <br /><br />As to suspension of government work, Palace added it will issue the usual memorandum circular.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />Last week, several areas including Makati City, Davao City, San Mateo (Rizal), San Fernando (Pampanga) and schools such as The National Teachers College and UST Legazpi already announced the cancellation of classes.<br /><br />In the past months, jeepney operators had protested against the modernization program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in which public utility vehicles (PUVs) that are more than 15 years old will be banned from the road, and will be replaced by vehicles with "low-carbon and low-emission technology."<br /><br />Stop and Go Transport Coalition President Jun Magno said that drivers and operators could not shoulder the P1.6-million loan for new jeepney units and daily amortization of P800.<br /><br />The group proposed for the rehabilitation of old jeepneys instead of acquiring new units.</div>
