However, the Office of the Executive Secretary said the announcement does not include suspension on Tuesday.<br /><br />As clarified, the private sector will not be covered (but subject to discretion of employers). <br /><br />As to suspension of government work, Palace added it will issue the usual memorandum circular.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />Last week, several areas including Makati City, Davao City, San Mateo (Rizal), San Fernando (Pampanga) and schools such as The National Teachers College and UST Legazpi already announced the cancellation of classes.<br /><br />In the past months, jeepney operators had protested against the modernization program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in which public utility vehicles (PUVs) that are more than 15 years old will be banned from the road, and will be replaced by vehicles with "low-carbon and low-emission technology."<br /><br />Stop and Go Transport Coalition President Jun Magno said that drivers and operators could not shoulder the P1.6-million loan for new jeepney units and daily amortization of P800.<br /><br />The group proposed for the rehabilitation of old jeepneys instead of acquiring new units.</div>

Tonight, same squads opened the new chapter of their rivalry book. But for the opener, Lucena City hosted Ginebra and Meralco. In terms of crowd support, Ginebra has this humongous advantage.<br /><br />Truly, the Gilas Pilipinas stint helped Baser Amer in terms of skills and basketball IQ and it manifested right after the couple of international tournaments where he played a major role together with the rest of the cadets. The Meralco guard, didn’t mind the Ginebra crowd but rather, silenced the Barangay in the early phase of the game while Ginebra bigs Japeth Aguilar and Joe Devance provided the spark for their team.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />Height is might and speed kills. This was the story of the 1st quarter where Barangay dominated the Bolts. The towering presence of Greg Slaughter and the agility of Justin Brownlee placed Ginebra 11 points ahead of Meralco, 29 - 18 after the first 12 minutes of the game.<br /><br />The height discrepancy obviously hurt Meralco. The absence of Kelly Nabong due to suspension made it harder for the Bolts to contain the “Gregzilla” especially in 2nd chance opportunities. Allen Durham who originally plays the 3 and 4 position was forced to move to the center to defend the middle ground against Greg Slaughter and Japeth Aguilar.<br /><br />As the 2nd quarter buzzer sounded, Meralco Bolts found themselves downed by 14 points, 49 - 35. Both imports led all scorers. Justin Brownlee had 13 while his counterpart, Allen Durham banked 10.<br /><br />Meralco started the 2nd half hot with Durham and Amer’s back-to-back baskets that forced Coach Tim Cone to call a halt with less than a minute gone by. LA Tenorio however, was too quick to retaliate as he stepped on the gas pedal for 4 points.<br /><br />Midway of the third, Allen Durham slowed down from scoring. Good thing, Meralco locals stepped-up and managed to cut the Ginebra lead to just a single digit. Cliff Hodge and Garvo Lanete led the offensive assault for the Bolts.<br /><br />Allen Durham came back to life at the 2-minute mark of the quarter with an alley-oop two-handed jam from Mike Tolomia and brought the margin down to 6.<br /><br />Mike Tolomia rang the bell from the outside and one after getting clipped by Sol Mercado. With the rare 4-point play, Meralco chipped the lead to just 4 but Greg Slaughter made a dunk and brought their advantage back to 6, 77-71 heading onto the final canto.<br /><br />Meralco’s offensive onslaught in the penultimate quarter was promptly stopped by Ginebra at the start of the fourth. Barangay added 5 more points to increase its lead to 11 with 10 more minutes in the game.<br /><br />Despite Ginebra’s hefty advantage, the players kept their pace quick that left the Bolts flat-footed. Barangay’s lead ballooned to 18 with 4 more minutes remaining in the game clock.<br /><br />Coach Tim Cone showed mercy on Coach Norman Black by pulling out his gunners and sent his 3rd stringers to the floor. His home has no walls and he relies on the coconut leaves to give him enough shade. Aside from the few clothes Gilbert hung, he doesn’t have any other belongings.<br /><br /><b>Family doesn’t let go of Gilbert</b><br /><br />His mother, Wenefred Sanchez shares that her motivation to get up everyday is the thought of his son. And everyday, she would walk few miles leading to his son’s “residence.” There, she would call upon Gilbert to throw down the long rope where she would place the packed food and cigarettes she prepared for him.<br /><br />Rain or shine, Gilbert has weathered the storms to stay away from everyone. According to Gilbert’s sister, Wilma, he started acting strange when he was hit with a gun in the head during an altercation back in 2014.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br /><b>The community tries to rescue him</b><br /><br />Micheal Lim, Barangay Chairman of Poblacion La Paz said that they had a hard time rescuing Gilbert because he refused and had an ax. They ultimately sought the assistance of search and rescue team of the provincial government. <br /><br />With the efforts of the community and the local community, Gilbert finally left his makeshift home for three years. He didn’t say anything to any of his rescuers but agreed to go down from the coconut tree. Gilbert was greeted by his family who terribly misses him. He was immediately sent to La Paz District Hospital to be properly evaluated. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.<br /><br /><b>COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION</b><br /><br />The two-day examination covered the following major subjects: inorganic chemistry (25%), organic chemistry (25%), anytical chemistry (25%) and physical chemistry (25%).<br /><br /><b>RELEASE OF RESULTS</b><br /><br />According to <b>PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019</b>, the target release date of the recent Chemist board exam results is on Monday, October 16 or in 2 working days after the test.<br /><br />In the same period last year (October 2016), results were released in 2 working days. A total of 559 out of 1,019 passed the exams. <br /><br />In September 2015 exam, results were announced online in just 1 working day. No official statement have been issued by Nadine’s camp to confirm if the story is true or fabricated. According to some sources, Nadine’s management has tried to hush down the alleged story due to its sensitivity.<br /><br />A news report detailed about a 16-year-old teenage boy had killed himself was published. The article reported that Isaiah Paguia Lustre had locked himself in his room and shot himself to death with a gun. <br /><br />According to the report of PO3 Elario Wanawan ng QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection, at around 7:45 in the evening, siblings Ezexiel and Naomie were busy playing with their gadget when they heard a gunshot sound from Isaiah’s room.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />They hurriedly ran towards the room and found their brother covered in blood. They asked for assistance from their neighbors and they took Isaiah’s body to the Pacific Global Medical Center. Isaiah allegedly died along the way to the hospital.<br /><br />The siblings told the investigators that they haven’t heard their brother complain about a problem he’s having. However, the family admitted that they have noticed the change in Isaiah’s attitude and demeanor. He became more moody, depressed, refused to talk to them and would just lock himself in his room.<br /><br />Their father, Ulysses Lustre, already declined further investigation into the incident since he is convinced that it was suicide and Isaiah decided to take his own life due to depression. <br /><br />The investigators of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered 2 live ammunitions of a  caliber 380 which was reportedly used Isaiah. <br /><br /><b>Nadine and James share cryptic posts</b><br /><br />Subsequent to the spread of the alleged tragic news, Nadine and James both posted a cryptic posts about depression on their Instagram stories. The first one was a semicolon with the words: keep going. The semicolon has been known to represent awareness on suicide, depression and self-harm. Although some remain unconvinced, a lot also insisted that it’s true since Nadine and James would never play with such sensitive issue. Others simply requested for privacy for the Lustre family. <br /><br />Celebrities have also reached out their outpouring support to Nadine and her family using the hashtag #KeepGoing.
