PHOTO CREDIT: Facebook/Anne Curtis</td></tr></tbody></table>More popularly known as “Kuya Germs”, the popular 82-year-old TV personality hosted the then long-running youth-oriented show That's Entertainment and the late-night variety show Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman. <br /><br />Prior to becoming an actor, Moreno worked as a janitor and a curtain raiser at the Clover Theater. Wala akong ka talent talent noon sa pagkanta o pagsayaw but he took a risk on me, at yun ang naging susi ko upang maiahon ko ang sarili at pamilya ko sa kahirapan.”<br /><br />(There would be no Isko Moreno today if there was no Kuya Germs. I had no talent in singing and dancing but he took a risk on me. He was the reason why I was able to get out of poverty.)<br /><br />TV host-actor Billy Crawford, a former regular at the now-defunct show That’s Entertainment, shared a message for Moreno, a man he considers a father figure, on his Instagram page. Crawford and his girlfriend Colleen Garcia are currently in Africa for a holiday break. <br /><br />"I’m sad that I'm not there next to you to say my goodbyes. You will be missed tremendously. We fought, we laughed, we cried, we sang, we danced and we shared the same stage for so many years! And I want to just thank you for teaching me and guiding me through everything. It hurts to see you leave us, but God is right there to make you rest and enjoy eternity with Him. I also pray for your family to be strong and to carry a smile like you always did. Pagalilauan was no longer rushed to a hospital after being declared dead on the spot.<br /><br />In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, homicide investigator Police Officer 3 Al Layugan said: “Pagalilauan, according to Ani, was not satisfied with the photos they had taken so she decided to climb up the parapet wall.”<br /><br />Despite Ani’s warning not to climb the wall, Pagalilauan proceeded. Since Ani was busy scanning the selfies they took, she didn’t see Pagalilauan fall. <br /><br />Pagalilauan’s boyfriend, who is currently in Mindanao, rents a unit at the fourth floor of the said condominium. According to the police, the two students went to the condominium to dye Pagalilauan’s hair. <br /><br />The two decided to postpone the hairdying and opted to take selfies at the roofdeck. Pagalilauan thought the sunset, which could be viewed at the roofdeck, would make a nice background for the pictures.<br /><br />Initially, the students took photos at the safer spot on the roofdeck. However, Pagalilauan decided to move to the parapet wall to take pictures from below the roofdeck.<br /><br />Pagalilauan reportedly told Ani: “I’m climbing the wall, take my photo.”<br /><br />Ani, who was busy reviewing the pictures they took, replied: “Don’t! You might fall.”<br /><br />Shortly after, Ani saw half of Pagalilauan’s body as it fell down the building. The controversial 39-second video uploaded on the Evan Demata Facebook page on Sunday, January 3 earned the ire of netizens.<br /><br />One of the men was identified by Senior Superintendent Rolie Saltat, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan PPO as Eduardo Quinit. Instead, the PNP will be focusing on other cases of indiscriminate firing in the country.<br /><br />As of 10 a.m. on Monday, January 4, the PNP has documented 41 stray bullet-related injuries without fatalities and recorded 54 stray bullet incidents since they started counting victims on December 16. <br /><br />A total of 9 people, 7 of whom were civilians, one was a policeman, and another one was a security guard, have been arrested due to illegal discharge of firearms as of 10 am on Monday, January 4. Garcia on Tuesday, January 5, an unidentified cab driver, whose vehicle plate number is UWB666, was caught on camera threatening female passengers from SM North EDSA on their way to POEA in Mandaluyong City.<br /><br />According to Garcia, the driver initially charged a P250 fixed fare. Garcia refused to accept his offer insisting that she would pay based on metered rate. When they reached POEA, Garcia gave the driver P200 expecting a P50 change. To Garcia’s surprise, the driver began violently shouting and cursing at her when she was asked for her change.<br /><br />Although the taxi meter only registered P140, the driver stressed that Garcia should pay him P350. The driver, who refused to give their change, repeatedly cursed on Garcia and her companion and even threatened to hurt them if they wouldn’t alight the taxi.<br /><br />When the driver noticed that Garcia was taking his video, he allegedly hurt her prompting them to get off the taxi. USTET results for AY 2016-2017 release is on March 15, 2016 - UST

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">The Catholic institution University of Santo Tomas (UST) Office for Admissions (OFAD) in a statement on their website said that official release date of USTET (UST Entrance Test) results for Academic Year AY 2016-2017 is on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. The remaining 60 percent will come from USTET results.<br /><br />To avoid problems in the release of USTET results, UST advised takers to forward the complete set of documents to the OFAD personally or through any courier service.<br /><br />The premier university also said that passing the USTET is not the sole basis for admission to some strands (freshmen). A second screening is required by the Conservatory of Music in the form of an audition and an artwork rendition for the College of Architecture.<br /><br />For AY 2016-2017, the target release date of results is late by several weeks as compared to the previous years. For this year USTET results, it is also expected that the complete list of passers will be posted at the UST campus after a day the results were released online.<br /><br />Note: Link to UST Admission results page portal will be available here once results are out online.<br /><br />In December last year, UST said it will open 7 more programs for AY 2016- 2017 applicants: BS Biology, BS Biochemistry, BS Psychology, AB Journalism, AB Legal Management, AB Economics and BS Nursing. <br /><br />Applicants may change their priority or alternative programs by submitting a letter of request, personally or by courier, on or before Jan. 15, 2016, the admissions office said.<br /><br />This brings to 20 the total number of programs to be offered next academic year, the start of the transition to the K to 12 basic education scheme that has forced colleges and universities nationwide to shut down or cut their degree offerings.<br /><br />The institution expects freshman enrollment to go down drastically next year as high school students will spend two more years in secondary education, or Grades 11 and 12, instead of going to college.<br /><br />UST is one of the best education institutions in the Philippines and the largest Catholic University in the World in terms of student population in a single campus.
