In the Electronics Technician exam, University of Santo Tomas (UST) got the highest place, 98.85% or 86 out of 87 passed.<br /><br />In the October 2015 ECE board exam, UPD was also hailed as the top performing school, 86.96 % or 40 out of 46 passed. /><br />Per Section 16 of R.A. 9292 or the "Electronics Engineering Law of 2004," a candidate for Electronics Engineer (ECE) or Electronics Technician (ECT) must obtain a passing rating of seventy percent (70%) in each subject given during the examination.<br /><br />This is provided, however, that a candidate who obtains a passing rating in the majority of the subjects but obtains a rating in the other subject/s below seventy percent (70%) but not lower than sixty percent (60%), shall be allowed to take one removal examination on the subject/s where he/she failed to obtain the passing rating.<br /><br />Finally, that should the examinee fail to obtain a passing rating in the removal examination, he/she shall be considered as having failed the entire licensure examination.<br /><br />For ECE, the usual national passing rate is on the range of 30-40% while 70-85% for ECT.<br /><br /><b>TOP PERFORMING SCHOOLS</b><br /><br />As per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman topped the ECE board exam in the same period last year as the school got 90.48-percent passing rate or 19 out of 21 passed the test. Meanwhile, Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT), Adamson University and technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP)-Manila were named as the top performing schools for ECT.<br /><br />Meanwhile, none of the schools qualified in the top performing list for April 2015 ECE board exam. Meanwhile, ECT exams covered various technical subjects, laws and ethics.<br /><br /><b><i>According to PRC, the target date of release of the recent Electronics Engineering board exam is on Friday, April 8, 2016 or in 3 working days after the exam. We advise examinees to monitor results starting 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 in the evening.</i></b><br /><br />In April 2015 exam, results were released in 3 working days. 892 out of 2,552 passed the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination and 1,066 out of 1,483 passed the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination.<br /><br />In October 2015, results were also out after 3 days. PRC named 1,784 out of 4,467 who have passed the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination and 2,984 out of 3,518 for the Electronics Technician Licensure exams.<br /><br />Aside from the full results, the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. The Bureau of Fire Protection, however, estimates 22 million worth of damage to properties, GMA News has reported.<br /><br />The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Senior Fire Officer 2 Sany Lacuban told CNN Philippines that the cause of fire is still under investigation.<br /><br />Initial report said there were welding activities in the area.  BFP officials say they will have to check if the UE administration has acquired hot works permit for this.<br /><br />The heartbreaking news occurred a day after the Faculty Center building at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City was similarly hit by fire.<br /><br />Meanwhile, "UE Manila" and "#PrayforUE" trended on Twitter Philippines as concerned students, alumni and netizens expressed concern over the incident.<br /><br />University of the East (UE) CAS building will be the testing center for April 3-4, 2016 Electronics Engineer (ECE) board exam.
