The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, April 7, that 1,033 out of 2,503 (41.27%) passed the Electronics Engineer (ECE) board exam and 1,020 out of 1,273 (80.13%) passed the Electronics Technician (ECT) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao this April 2017.

PRC hailed Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of technology (MSU-IIT) as the no.1 top performing school based on Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010: WITH 50 OR MORE EXAMINEES AND WITH AT LEAST 80% PASSING PERCENTAGE. MSU-IIT got 88.89% passing rate or 24 out of 27 examinees successfully hurdled the exam.
For ECT, Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) and Adamson University (AdU) aced the board with 100% and 90% passing rate, respectively.
