Baptismal Certificate;<br />ii. Voter’s ID (with picture and signature);<br />iii. Valid Passport;<br />iv. Valid Driver’s License; and<br />v. Any legal document bearing the applicant’s picture, name and signature (e.g. NBI Clearance, Barangay Certificate, certification issued by barangay chairman/chieftain)<br /><br />d. This is the first time the delay has reached the following fiscal year. In a recent comment, Education Undersecretary Jesus Mateo blamed failed biddings and delayed processing of clearances.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br />"The long delay in the release of these bonuses is absolutely unacceptable. Our grossly underpaid teachers rely on these bonuses to support their families and make ends meet," said Gatchalian, the vice-chairman of the Senate Education Committee.<br /><br />Stressing that DepEd needs to fix this problem as soon as possible, he urged DepEd to streamline their clearance processing mechanisms to ensure that no further delays will occur. "Ensuring that teachers are properly compensated for their hard work and dedication to the youth of this country is something that should be at the top of the government's To Do list. Results were released online in less than 3  months after the exam.<br /><br />Erwin John Santos (Region 3) and Garry Vacunawa (Region 8) garnered 186 points or 93% overall rating to ace the test.<br /><br />Sharon Angupa from Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) ranked second with 185 points or 92.5% rating.<br /><br /><b>PRINCIPALs' TEST OVERVIEW</b><br /><br />The administration of the test is DepEd's mechanism to select school heads in the public education sector - a qualifying process for interested applicants to Principal I positions. However, any development on the checking of test papers or unforessen circumstances may change the probable release date.<br /><br /><b>June 22, 2017 Update</b>: NEAP staff told The Summit Express that deliberation is still on ongoing. Results are most probably out by July ( no exact date).<br /><br /><b>July 4, 2017 Update: </b>Through our inquiry, the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) - NEAP told us that results will be released on the third week of July 2017 or expected between July 17-21. Once available, it will be posted on DepEd website through a memorandum and on NEAP Facebook page.<br /><br /><b>July 14, 2017 Update</b>: NEAP-HRDD staff told us that checking of test papers and deliberations are still ongoing. There are a lot of factors and issues to consider such as examinees not following the required Unique Tracking Code (UTC) and problems on correct shading of the answer sheets. (<i>Note: UTC is also required for the viewing/release of results</i>).<br /><br /><b>August 3, 2017 Update: </b>NEAP-HRDD told The Summit Express that new target for the release of results is on or before August 31. "The delay was caused by several factors but it will be released as soon as possible."<br /><br /><b>August 31, 2017 Update</b>: NEAP -HRDD told The Summit Express that results documents were already forwarded to DepEd officials, particularly to Secretary Leonor M. Briones, for their signing. As confirmed, release of results is most probably NOT TODAY. The definite answer we've got is "IT IS VERY SOON."<br /><br />In previous exam, each taker received Official Certificate of Rating (COR) from NEAP. This will be forwarded to the regions and school divisions when all the CORs have been printed.<br /><br />Those who have passed will undergo training under the School Head's Development Program.<br /><br /><b>PREVIOUS EXAMINATION</b><br /><br />In the October 2015 exam, 2,195 out of nearly 19,000 takers passed the Principals' Test. Results were released online in less than 3  months after the exam. Erwin John Santos (Region 3) and Garry Vacunawa (Region 8) garnered 186 points or 93% overall rating to top the test.<br /><br />In the May 2014 exam, 1,301 test takers passed the exam with results posted after 4 months.<br /><br />In 2013, 1,454 out of the total 14,567 passed the test. However, any development on the checking of test papers or unforessen circumstances may change the probable release date.<br /><br />In previous exam, each taker received Official Certificate of Rating (COR) from NEAP. Erwin John Santos (Region 3) and Garry Vacunawa (Region 8) garnered 186 points or 93% overall rating.<br /><br />In the May 2014 exam, 1,301 test takers passed the exam with results posted after 4 months.<br /><br />In 2013, 1,454 out of the total 14,567 passed the test. The core events and activities for this SY, which represent the actual teaching-learning days, shall be strictly observed in all schools," DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro said.<br /><br />The next SY will consist of 202 school days, inclusive of the five-day In-Service Training (INSET) break. The parent-teacher conferences shall be held every quarter and shall be held on Saturday, except on the last conference in April 2017.<br /><br />DepEd added that Christmas break shall begin on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Classes shall resume on Monday, January 2, 2017.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the summer or remedial classes shall begin on Monday, April 17, 2017 and end on Saturday, May 31, 2017, which is the last day for the final examination. A separate issuance regarding the conduct of summer classes shall be released by DepEd.<br /><br />In preparation for the opening of classes for SY 2017-2018, the schools shall conduct the following activities: early registration on Saturday, January 28, 2017 and Brigada Eskwela from May 15-20, 2017.<br /><br />DepEd said that private schools may deviate from this School Calendar. However, they may not start classes earlier than the first Monday of June and not later than the last day of August, as provided for in Republic Act No. 7797 entitled An Act to Lengthen the School Calendar from Two Hundred (200) Days to Not More than Two Hundred Twenty (220) Class Days. They should notify their respective regional offices (ROs) in advance regarding any deviation.<br /><br />Schools may observe national and local celebrations, holidays and advocacy activities other than declared by DepEd, provided that the total number of school days shall not be compromised. Make-up classes can therefore be conducted to compensate for the school days spent for activities deemed beneficial to the learning-teaching process. Likewise, make-up classes are recommended in lieu of no-school days due to occurrence of a natural and man-made calamities. Armin Luistro FSC announced that “the 2014 and 2015 budgets already have allocations for 30,000 classrooms for SHS.” He also mentioned that the initial target for the proposed 2016 budget, which is subject for approval, is over 20,000 classrooms for SHS. The government shall further allocate investments for SHS.<br /><br />The partial list shows 3,839 public schools that were submitted to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for funding and to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for bidding and construction. <br /><br />Also included is the initial list of the 1,866 non-DepEd schools, which include private schools, HEIS, TVIs, LUCs, and SUCs that have been cleared to offer SHS come June 2016.
