The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on Monday, September 26, that 738 out of 1,140 (64.74%) passed the Librarian board exam given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this September 2016.
PRC has recognized University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman as the no. 1 top performing school as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. UPD got 100-percent passing rate or 50 examinees successfully hurdled the series of tests.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Benguet State University (BSU)- La Trinidad ranked second and third respectively for having 94.44% (51 out of 54 examinees passed) and 86.36% (57 out of 66), respectively.
