QS: 4 Philippine Schools Among World's Top Universities 2017

As UP looks forward to the centenary of its founding in the year 2008, UP Diliman affirmed its own commitment to modernizing its facilities and services. Many of the libraries are already computerized and are providing automated services," QS said on its website.<br /><br />The <b>Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU)</b> placed second with its ranking slipped to 551-600 from 501-550 lasy year.<br /><div id="unruly-unit"></div><br /><b>De La Salle University (DLSU) </b>maintained its rank, within the 701-750 range.<br /><br />The <b>University of Santo Tomas (UST)</b>'s ranking also fell 701-750 to 801-1000. Once again, the oldest university in Asia and the largest Catholic University obtained four QS Stars, the lone local university to receive the merit.<br /><br />“QS Stars is a rating system which allows students to get a wider picture of an institution’s qualities, looking at everything from the employability of graduates, to sports facilities and community engagement. This year’s list of the world’s top 10 universities also includes Switzerland’s ETH Zurich, where fees for most programs are lower than in the UK or US.<br /><br /><b>Here's an overview of current fees for domestic and international students at the top 10 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2015/16:</b><br /><br /><b>1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US</b><br /><br />The Institute is traditionally known for its research and education in the physical sciences and engineering, and more recently in biology, economics, linguistics, and management as well.<br /><br />Its website reported that MIT awarded over US$91 million (Php 4.353B) in financial aid to its 4,500 undergraduate students in 2014, with 91% of MIT students receiving some financial aid.
