MANILA, Philippines - Several local government units and schools are expected to announce class suspensions for tomorrow, September 13, 2017 (Wednesday) due to heavy rains and strong wind brought by tropical depression "Maring."

In a bulletin issued at 1:00 p.m. today, state weather bureau PAGASA announced that moderate to heavy rains will be experienced over Bicol region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Pangasinan due to Bagyong 'Maring.' Residents of these areas are alerted against possible landslide and flashfloods.

'Maring' has made landfall over Mauban, Quezon is now traversing Laguna-Manila area.

Signal No. 1 was raised over the areas of Metro Manila, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Northern Quezon incl. Polillo island, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Zambales, Pangasinan, Laguna, Southern Aurora.
