MANILA, Philippines - The Civil Service Commission(CSC) released the official results of March 12, 2017 Civil Service Exam- Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) also known as Career service examination. The complete list of passers for Professional and Sub-professional level for Region 4 (CALABARZON and MIMAROPA) is available on this page once announced.

A total of 32,654 examinees or 14.15% of the total takers nationwide came from the Southern Tagalog (Region 4), second in terms of bulk of examinees in the March 2017 CSE-PPT.

CSC said that 197,924 (85.78%) examinees took the Professional level exam while 32,812 (14.22%) tried to hurdle the CS exam in 60 test centers nationwide.

For those asking for the exact release date of results, CSC said that it will be out online within 41 days after the exam or expected on or before April 22 (Saturday).


GENERATION OF EXAM RESULTS

CSC said that examinees can generate their examination rating through OCSERGS or Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System which can also be accessed through the CSC website. Generation of examination rating through OCSERGS shall be available approximately 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

Passers should coordinate and verify with the CSC Regional Office concerned the availability of their Certification of Eligibility (CoE) and the requirements in claiming it. A complete directory of the CSC Regional Offices is available at the CSC website. Passers must personally claim their CoE. Representatives are not allowed to claim the same. Claiming of CoE shall be available approximately 30 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

EXAM OVERVIEW

The Career Service Professional and Sub-professional examinations are general ability tests designed to measure an individual's preparedness to enter government service. The Professional level lasts for three hours and 10 minutes, while the Sub-professional level, for two hours and 40 minutes.

Passing rate is set at 80 percent.

The CSC said that eligibility is a minimum requirement – along with education, experience, and training – for permanent appointment to government career service positions.
