MANILA, Philippines - A total of fourteen thousand five hundred sixty six (14,566) examinees took the October 2016 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam. On this page, check out the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Accountancy (BoA) released results in few working days after the exam.

List of Passers: October 2016 CPA board exam results

PRC administered the CPA board exam on October 1, 2, 8 and 9 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena and Tacloban.

The Board of Accountancy who gave the licensure exam is composed of Joel L. Tan-Torres, Chairman; Eliseo A. Aurellado, Gerard B. Sanvictores, Gloria T. Baysa, Concordio S. Quisaot and Samuel B. Padilla, Members.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATIONS

The 4-day examination covered the following subjects: advanced financial accounting and reporting, auditing, financial accounting and reporting, management advisory services, taxation and regulatory framework for business transactions.

PROBABLE RELEASE DATE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 2015-948, the target release date of the recent CPA board exam is on Wednesday, October 19, or in 8 working days after the exam.

In October 2015 exams, results were out online in just 4 working days. PRC said that 5,468 out of 13,317 passed the CPA licensure examinations.

In May 2016 CPA board exam, results were released in 5 working days. A total of 2,967 out of 6,925 successfully hurdled the series of tests.

We advise examinees to monitor announcement of results from October 12 to 19 (3-8 working days.)

CPA TOP PERFORMING SCHOOLS

In the same period last year, PRC has named University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman as the no. 1 top performing school for having 98.70-percent or 76 out of 77 passed the exams. Rounding up the six highest places are University of Santo Tomas (UST), Bicol University -Daraga, De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila, University of Saint Louis (USL)-Tuguegarao and Ateneo de Zamboanga.

Aside from the full results, the registration schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
