A total of 27,150 took the NLE in various testing centers nationwide: Manila, Baguio City, Laoag, Angeles, Cabanatuan, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro (CDO) and Bacolod.

In May 2014 NLE, there are 64 topnotchers who occupied the Top 10 list. Ma. Margaret Benosa Sanchez of University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the board with 86.00 percent grade.
