The Kapuso host didn’t hold back his words when he answered a tweet by Davila. On Instagram, he called out Davila saying, “Is this your post @iamkarendavila? Can’t believe you didn’t even get our side... ‘Solidarity and courage’ ba kamo?

We stand by you in the fight for press freedom. This came after three Kapuso broadcasters Arnold Clavio, Mike Enriquez and Susan Enriquez came under fire for their radio show on Super Radyo DZBB last Tuesday. The three were criticized for allegedly making fun of Rappler and Maria Ressa’s closure order and hinted that ABS-CBN will be next. Clavio sang a “balitawit” with the lyrics stating, “May narinig ako sa may Ignacia ay susunod na” to which Mike Enriquez blurted, “susunod na kayo.” Clavio continued amidst their laughters, “May narinig ako kay Maria Ressa na nauna na.”

The song continued, “Hindi mo na namamalayan? Wala ka bang nararamdaman? Ika ng hangin may panggigipit sa atin. Panahon na naman ng paglaban. Gumising ka media.”

Mike then asked Clavio to repeat the first line about Ignacia and said, “Doon po matatagpuan ang…”
