Pinay caregiver tops September 2017 special teachers board exam (LET) in Middle East

MANILA, Philippines - A Pinay caregiver topped the Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) for Professional Teachers - Elementary category in the Middle East.

Devy Anna Exiomo has been an OFW in Israel since 2015.

Impressively, the Central Institute of Technology in Paniqui, Tarlac graduate is the only one who passed the said exam out of the 88 examinees who took it in Israel.

In the entire Middle East, the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) announced that Exiomo is part of only 6 passers out of 179 examinees of the SPLE licensure exam for teachers (LET) -elementary. The exam that was conducted last September 2, 2017, only got a passing rate of 3.35%.

This special project initiated by the Philippine Embassy in Israel and was made in the hopes to help OFWs find more opportunities as a teacher when they decide to return to the country. It is open for OFWs working in the Middle East on a 5-year contract as caregivers. They also have a SPLE for nurses.

It also a reintegration project of Department Labor and Employment under their OFW program “Dito sa ‘Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am at Sir.”

Passers of the board exam who decided to go back home and pursue the profession will have to take the following PRC requirements:

• Register online in the PRC
• Must an oath to an administering PRC officer
• They will be now be included in the Registration Book of Professional
• They will then wait for their ID, Certificate of Registration and Report of Rating

Ellen Adarna’s manager gives statement about pregnancy news

Just in case you missed it, Ellen Adarna is pregnant and John Lloyd Cruz is the father. The news made headlines a few days ago after Adarna allegedly confirmed the news to her friends. Although the couple had been mum about it, Adarna’s manager released a statement on the pregnancy rumor.

Adarna’s manager, Pia Campos finally broke the silence from their camp. She neither denied nor confirmed the news but stated it’s not her story to tell. She said, “And if there are rumors to be admitted or dispelled, it’s her story to tell when she is ready to do so."

She at least confirmed that Adarna is happy, “At the moment, I can assure you that Ellen is well and happy.”

The pregnancy confirmation allegedly came after Adarna didn’t show up in the recent Bench fashion show “Under the Stars.” Adarna who is an endorser of the brand signed a contract stating she is not allowed to be pregnant until her contract expires which will be next year. Until then, people close to Adarna are guessing she won’t be announcing the pregnancy very soon.

However, celebrities have already sent their regards and well- wishes to the couple. Piolo Pascual also refused to confirm the news but stated that he is happy for them and gives them his support.
