VIDEO: Teddy Corpuz marries again in Showtime Magpasikat 2017

MANILA, Philippines - It's Showtime mainstay Teddy Corpuz just won the heart of his bride on the live wedding as part of their "Magpasikat 2017" performance with comedian Vice Ganda and Jugs Jugueta on Tuesday, October 17.

"Babe, will you marry me again?," the Rocksteddy frontman asked Jasmine.

Teddy even joked: "Buti nalang nag-yes ka."

"Eleven years ago, lagi kang nanonood ng mga wedding videos. Gusto kong ibigay sa 'yo ang pinaka-malaking kasal na gusto mo," Teddy went emotional after he gave wedding ring to Jasmine.

"The proposal and wedding on the same day was the best and sweetest so far," most of the netizens tweeted as #MagpasikatJugsTeddyVice dominated the trending list nationwide and worldwide.

"You're my amazing wife, I ever had. Gusto ko malaman mo at ng buong mundo na ikaw parin ang pipiliin ko. Gusto kong ipagmayabang sa buong mundo. I can only boast on our Lord Jesus Christ, he is loving na binigay ka niya sa akin. I promise that my heart will be always be fixed on you and Christ," Teddy added.

In his interview in the morning show "Magandang Buhay," admitted that they eloped and had a civil wedding -- much to the dismay of Jasmine's mother.

"Nagpakasal kami sa huwes. Bumalik kami sa bahay ni Jas, mineet ko ang nanay niya. 'Eto po kasal na kami kami.' Nagalit ang mommy niya, as in. Pero ako na ngayon ang favorite son-in-law," Corpuz said.

Teddy and Jasmine now have two children, Angelica Phoebe and Theodore John who even appeared on the ABS-CBN game show "Bet On Your Baby" back in 2013.

MANILA, Philippines - 'Bagyong Paolo' (international name: Lan) has intensified into a severe tropical storm as it continues to move over the Philippine Sea, state weather bureau PAGASA announced in its 11:00 a.m. update on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

At 10:00 a.m. today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm 'Paolo', 16th cyclone to enter the country this year and second this month, was estimated based on all available data at 765 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.0 °N, 132.7 °E).

'Bagyong Paolo' has maximum sustained winds of 90 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 7 kph.

Meanwhile, no tropical cyclone warning signal has been raised as of press time but 'Paolo' may intensify into a Typhoon in the next 24 to 36 hours.

The estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 450 km diameter of the Severe Tropical Storm.

The outer rainbands of #PaoloPH may bring scattered light to moderate with possible occasional heavy rains over Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA added.

MANILA, Philippines - Some local government units announced suspension of classes for Tuesday, October 17, 2017 or the second day of the nationwide transport strike.

On Monday night, the City Information Office of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga said classes in ALL LEVELS, both public and private schools, are still SUSPENDED tomorrow.

"In line with this, the City Government of San Fernando will still provide free rides (libreng sakay) to the affected commuters. Pick up points will still be in front of the City Hall and Shell Gas Station-Telabastagan from 6:00 AM onwards," the statement added.

Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar said that classes and work in government office to resume on Tuesday.

In the past months, jeepney operators had protested against the modernization program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in which public utility vehicles (PUVs) that are more than 15 years old will be banned from the road, and will be replaced by vehicles with "low-carbon and low-emission technology."

Stop and Go Transport Coalition President Jun Magno said that drivers and operators could not shoulder the P1.6-million loan for new jeepney units and daily amortization of P800.

The group proposed for the rehabilitation of old jeepneys instead of acquiring new units.

Magpasikat 2017: Billy, Amy and James wow the crowd with magical performance

MANILA, Philippines - The annual It’s Showtime Magpasikat is again ready to impress the madlang people. As a celebration of the hit noontime show’s eight (8) anniversary, the Magpasikat has been a tradition that has everyone waiting in anticipation. It’s also the perfect venue for the It’s Showtime hosts to show off their impressive skills and creative talents to wow the crowd.

This year’s special set of hurados are composed of the most respected and big names in the show business which include Direk Rory Quintos, Janno Gibbs, Ina Raymundo, Marc Logan and no less than the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano.

To start the ball rolling, Billy Crawford and his team composed of Amy Perez, James Reid and Hashtag Zeus Collins kicked off the week.

Billy’s team showed the madlang people why they are rightfully called performers. In the theme of the classic Phantom of the Opera, they opened their act in Victorian outfits and background. The three decided to go outdoors to perform a thrilling magic act. They placed James inside a glass cubicle and water sprayed him.

In an amazing feat, James appeared right on the stage. Amy Perez also became a showgirl as she changed her outfit with the wave of a cloth. She also sizzled in her sexy rendition of “All that Jazz.” For the finale, Billy performed a breathtaking magic trick where he transported the rest of the team across the studio.

The madlang people scored a majority of 10. Direk Rory shared her experience, “It was so fun to watch.” Janno agreed that it was a very good performance and commended Amy. Ina was impressed with Amy calling her “the best link of the team.” Marc Logan also recounted her childhood fondness for magic and called it, “napakaganda.”

The Diamond Star admitted she got a bit confused in the beginning but agreed that it was good.

The team’s hashtag #MagpasikatBiLLyJamesAmy also trended Monday afternoon.

Last year, Billy was paired off with Ryan Bang in a comedic skit. Their presentation ended up the madlang people in fits of laughter and even had Piolo Pascual as a guest. The madlang people were surprised when an unexpected kiss happened between the two and Billy decided to walk out in the middle of their show. But, it was all part of the show and for good time’s sake. Billy ended their presentation with an impressive dance number with Hashtags McCoy and Jimboy, and GirlTrends Barbie, Erin, Kamille, and Joana. The pair ended up with the Consolation prize with P50,000.

Anne Curtis with Amy Perez and Joey Marquez scored a perfect 10 from the hurados and earned them the title of the 2016 Magpasikat Grand Champion. They won P300,000 for their chosen charity.
