List of Winners: Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Coronation Night

MANILA, Philippines - The results are in and the complete list of winners for the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Binibining Pilipinas 2016 was officially announced during the grand coronation night on Sunday, April 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Forty contestants showed their best vying for the six crowns at stake: Miss Universe, Miss International, and other international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Globe and Miss Grand International.

Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015), Janicel Lubina (Miss International 2015 Top 10 Finalist), Rogelie Catacutan (Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Semi-Finalist), Christi McGarry (Miss Intercontinental 2015 1st Runner-up), Ann Lorraine Colis (Miss Globe 2015), and Parul Shah (Miss Grand International 2015 3rd Runner-up) crowned their successors at the end of the event.

Comprising this year’s exciting roster are local pageant winners, graduates from top schools, artists, sports and fashion enthusiasts, and working professionals who excel in their respective fields.

The coronation night was hosted by Kapamilya stars Xian Lim and KC Concepcion.

Part of the panel of judges are Paolo Roxas, Lauren Dyogi, Ian Veneracion, and Cory Vidanes. Joining them are Ambassadors Igor Anatolyevich Khovaev (Russia), Roland Van Remoortele (Belgium), Jan Top Christensed (Denmark), as well as former ambassador Lani Bernardo.

Also on the panel are Miss USA Olivia Jordan, Secretary Adrian Cristobal Jr., BPCI Executive Commissioner Betsy Westendorp, and BPCI Chair Stella Marquez Araneta.

Mastermind, Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation win PGT Grand Finals slots

MANILA, Philippines - Dance group Mastermind and Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation advanced to the grand finals of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 as announced during the results night at Resorts World Manila on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

The 9-member group from Borongan, Eastern Samar who charmed the viewers on their simple but dazzling choreography, got the highest percentage of votes, 57.56%, automatically sending them to the grand finals.

Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation, on the other hand, earned a spot in the finals after getting the unanimous vote of all four judges.

Judges Freddie Garcia, Angel Locsin, Vice Ganda and Robin Padilla had to select between Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation and Deniel Sarmiento, which finished in second and third in the viewers' vote.

Mastermind, Sto. Tomas Bulilit Generation bested other semi-finalists dancers Angel Fire and Deniel Sarmiento and singers Derf Cabael and Lezboys.

Hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, "Pilipinas Got Talent" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."

The coronation night with the theme “Celebration. The Best Party Ever” will air live on ABS-CBN's Sunday Best at 10 p.m.

Representing various provinces in the country, the Top 40 candidates bested hundreds of aspirants in the tight screenings in January.

It is expected that tonight's pageant will be tougher following the historic win of Pia Wurtzbach at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. Pia will also grace the event to crown the next title holder.

Aside from Pia, her fellow 2015 winners have also made their own marks in their respective titles: Anne Colis won the Miss Globe 2015 title; Parul Shah bagged Miss Grand International 2015 3rd Runner-up; Christy McGarry won Miss Intercontinental 2015 1st Runner-up; Rogelie Catacutan bested other hopefuls as Miss Supranational 2015 semifinalist; and Janicel Lubina made it to the Top 10 of the Miss International pageant and was awarded Best Dresser.

Last Monday, April 11, ABS-CBN and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) have renewed partnership.

“The partnership of both groups are geared towards working for the best. We’ll continue doing the same thing until we produce more Miss Universe titlists,” shared BPCI chair Stella Marquez Araneta.

The second device after the F1 in the camera-centric F series boasts its 16-megapixel front facing camera, the first in the industry. The Hi-Light Camera promises to capture clear and vivid photos in any lighting condition or four times less noise from the existing one.

"Selfies will always turn out bright and clear no matter the time of the day because of the F1 Plus' unique technology and wide f/2.0 aperture lens," OPPO's product expert Marton Barcza said.

Among the new features of the F1 Plus are extra-wide 120-degree shots for the 'Selfie Panorama,' enhanced built-in beautification app Beautify 4.0 and front-facing flash.

Brand ambassador and Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, who graced the event said these camera features will let the O-Fans "get the perfect shot on the first snap, anytime and everywhere."

The device also uses the updated ColorOS 3.0 for the increased speed (25% faster compared to ColorOS 2.1) and efficiency. More than that, OPPO now integrated the fingerprint recognition technology for faster (just 0.2 seconds) and easier unlocking of the F1 Plus.

OPPO Philippines said the new device will retail for P21,990 and now available for pre-order nationwide until April 29. You just need to give downpayment of P 1,000 and you will get free selfie stick as you get the device starting April 30.
