Although the veteran illustrator is pro-Duterte, he earlier admitted he was commissioned to create the Roxas comic book, which earned the ire of netizens after the former DILG chief was portrayed as a hero in the aftermath of Supertyphoon Yolanda despite alleged slow response and rehabilitation from the government. Comendador emphasized that he only did his job when he created the comic book yet his loyalty and support for Duterte is unwavering.

Comendador wrote on his Facebook account: “Marami po akong naidrowing na komiks pampulitika noon at ngayon. Trabaho lang po, sana'y inyong maunawaan. Maraming salamat po. DUTERTE PO ANG PRESIDENTE KO!”

(I have drawn numerous political comics in the past and present. It’s just a job, I hope you understand. Thank you. Duterte is my President!)

On Thursday, April 14, Comendador revealed a sneak peek of the Duterte comic book titled: “Digong: Ang Kanlungan ng mga Inaapi at Inaabuso.” Jim Estrabela and KC Cordero of Atlas Komiks wrote the story highlighting the tough talking mayor’s efforts to help fellow Filipinos.

In the comic book preview, Duterte can be seen helping a cancer-striken boy whose legs were amputated. Although the boy has stage 4 cancer, had undergone numerous operations and has no chance of surviving, he asked for Duterte’s help in order for him to have legs.

“Huwag kang mag-alala Argee, magkakaroon ka ng mga paa. Pag wala akong makuha itong mga paa ko ang ibibigay ko sa iyo,” Duterte said in the story.

(Don’t worry Argee, you will have feet. If I can’t get, I’ll give you my feet.)

In the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey, Duterte took the sole lead in the presidential race with 27% of the votes. --Mini, The Summit Express

Madonna’s “Rebel Heart” earned $ 4.9 million last February

Global music artists found a new haven to play their music in the Philippines over the last few years due to unwavering interest of the Filipino crowd in patronizing foreign acts. Madonna's sold-out, two-night concert last February accumulated a total of USD 4,956,105 (PHP 228 million pesos) and was attended by 15,710 people.

The upcoming concerts are expected to rake in millions as Coldplay and of course, U2 which is one of the best-selling touring acts in the world has an extremely loyal fan base in the country.

U2 alone holds a 170 million total of records sold in a career spanning four decades already. The twenty year old Coldplay band has a strong 80 million records sold under its name.
