SM releases statement on alleged Valentine's Day suicide at Megamall

MANILA, Philippines - SM mall operations SVP Steven Tan has released statement on Monday regarding the alleged suicide incident happened at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on Valentine's Day.

Tan said that the woman fell at Building B in SM Megamall was rushed to the hospital by the mall personnel.

It is not yet confirmed whether it was an accident or suicide but he added that local authorities are currently investigating the matter.

"“A woman fell at Building B in SM Megamall. She was immediately rushed to the hospital by the mall personnel. The mall security and the local authorities are currently investigating the matter. We will cooperate for further inquiry,” Tan said in a statement.

On Sunday, netizens were shocked as photos of the incident went viral online. Mallgoers who witnessed the tragedy also expressed their sympathy on social media.

"Megamall" has been a trending topic on Valentine's Day immediately after the incident.

'J Morning' upbeat and entertaning performance received APPROVED rating from the judges called "Himig-gration Officers" composed of Toni Gonzaga, Martin Rivera and Lani Misalucha.

"Lahat ng hinahanap namin ng TOURISTars, nasa inyo! Para na kami nanonood ng variety show, concert na kayo yung bida!," Toni commented.

MANILA, Philippines - Shadow play artist Philip Galit from Calatagan, Batangas gave good vibes on his performance on Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 audition on Sunday, February 14, 2016.

Known as "Shadow Ace," the 19-year old lad said his performance is inspired by his childhood experience as a sort of entertainment when there's a brown-out and nothing to do but to play.

"Ayaw ko na kasi maulit yung kabataan ko na mahirap kami, wala kaming kuryente at pampasok. Sa kahirapan na yun ko kinuha ang lakas ng loob at motivation para sumali sa Pilipinas Got Talent," Galit said.

"Ang bongga mo! Nagamit mo sa maganda 'yang kamay mo kapag brownout," Vice Ganda commented.

"Isa lang masasabi ko, artist ka," judge Robin Padilla said.

Shadow Ace advance to the next level of the competition.

After the Liquid concepts' live wedding proposal on PGT stage, judge Angel Locsin pressed her Golden Buzzer button that automatically sent Sharleen Antonio and Larry Guevarra to the semi-finals of the competition.


Aside from their bartending heartfelt performance, Sharleen and Larry's love story also thrilled the viewers and judges as they confessed their 16 years age gap.

On this season, each judge is allowed to press the buzzer only once during the whole duration of the auditions. PGT's fifth season also marks the first time in the history the judges will use this power.
