NAPOLCOM activates OLEASS April 2016 online exam application system

MANILA, Philippines - The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced the activation dates of Online Exam Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) for Sunday, April 24, 2016 PNP Entrance and promotional examinations.

NAPOLCOM OLEASS 2016 for PNP entrance exam will be available starting February 8 at 12 noon until February 12, 2016.

The agency will activate the online application scheduling system for Police Officer exams on February 15-19. Meanwhile, it will be available for Senior Police Officer (SPO), Inspector and Superintendent on February 22-26, 2016.

"In view of the resource constraints, the regional office reserves the right to limit the number of examinees it will accommodate. Acceptance of applications shall be on a "first-come, first-served basis and, upon due notice, may be stopped even ahead of the deadline," NAPOLCOM stated on its announcement.

The period of filing applications is scheduled on February 29 - March 29, 2016.

NAPOLCOM said that only applicants with a confirmed scheduled appointment with reference number shall be entertained.

How to get scheduled appointment for filing of appication for the PNP Entrance and Promotional exam?

1. Applicant logs on the NAPOLCOM official website or direct to www.napolcom-oleass.com and fills out the ncecessary fields such as examination title, full name, address, cellphone number, email address and present rank.

2. After filling out the mandatory fields, applicant to submit form. A CONFIRMATION will appear if registration was successful. If not, the process should be repeated.

3. Press the PRINT CONFIRMATION LETTER button flashed on the screen to print the confirmation letter.

Note: The examination center where the applicant shall take the promotional exam is automatically assigned by the computer system based on the home address or unit/assignment address provided by the police applicant.

NAPOLCOM conducts two sets of police examinations twice a year, one for those who are already in the police service (promotional), and another for those aspiring to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP entrance).

The PNP ENTRANCE EXAMINATION is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age, height and educational requirements.

The PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.

MANILA, Philippines - The dance act of "Power Duo" received the very first 'Golden Buzzer' on Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 during the second day of auditions on Sunday, January 24, 2016.

Judge Robin Padilla pressed the 'golden buzzer' to send them directly to the live semi-finals. On this season, each judge is allowed to press the buzzer only once during the whole duration of the auditions.

This season also marks the first time in the history of PGT the judges will use the Golden Buzzer.

"Bitbitin niyo yang love na 'yan. Yan ang magdadala ng magic at 'yan magpapanalo sa inyo," judge Vice Ganda told Power Duo.

"Slice of heaven. Sobrang galing niyo," Angel Locsin commented.

Sanitary Engineer board exam was administered on January 19, 20 and 21, 2016 in Manila.

The members of the Board of Sanitary Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Corazon De los Reyes-Romero, Chairman; Engr. Alfredo B. Espino and Engr. Florimond M. Lara, Members.

Updating for the list of passers

The second Sanitary Engineering board exam this year covered the following subjects: environmental engineering and public health engineering (Day 1), sanitary science as applied to buildings and civil engineering (Day 2), waste water and water supply engineering (Day 3).

According to PRC Resolution No. 2015-948, sanitary board exam results are target for release on Monday, January 25 or 2 working days after the exam.

In January 2015 exams, PRC named 24 out of 56 who have passed the Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination.

In August 2015, 77 out of 132 passed the series of Sanitary Engineer licensure exams.

Aside from the full results, the schedule of registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced also. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, PRC said.

San Miguel hampers Alaska's PBA Finals sweep, wins Game 4 in OT

MANILA, Philippines - The Alaska Aces were not able to sweep defending champions San Miguel Beermen on the crucial Game 4 of the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday, January 24 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

San Miguel Beermen managed to pull off a stunning comeback, 110-104, to extend the series, 3-1 in the best-of-7 and now looking to become the first team in PBA history to come back from a 0-3 series deficit.

San Miguel is still playing without the reigning back-to-back PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, who received the Best Player of the Conference award prior to the game.

Chris Ross was hailed as game's best player, scoring a near triple-double of 11 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Marcio Lassiter scored 26 points, Gabby Espinas had 21 points and 14 rebounds.

Alaska’s Cyrus Baguio forced an extra period after a clutch three-pointer at the buzzer and the Aces again took the upper hand after Vic Manuel opened it with back-to-back baskets, 102-98.


Game 5 of PBA Finals series is set on Wednesday, January 27.
