It's Showtime ruled nationwide audience share on Monday, January 11 with 15.5% ratings compared to Eat Bulaga's 15.2%.

The boost in ratings of the Kapamilya show can be attributed to the return of the classic singing contest “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” and the inclusion of Mariel Rodriguez and Amy Perez as new hosts of the noontime show last January 2.

It's Showtime audience share improves day-by-day while Eat Bulaga ratings return to 15-20% range same figure as AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine 'Yaya Dub' Mendoza) Kalyeserye craze started to soar in July 2015.

Before the AlDub phenomenon last year, It's Showtime consistently topples Eat Bulaga in noontime TV ratings. The ratings of the latter usually on 12-14% range.

Through a Facebook post, netizen Juliet Suarez revealed how her brother was almost victimized by some immigration personnel including a bald man and two women in NAIA terminal 3. Her brother, whom Suarez didn’t identify, was apparently put on hold at the Immigration because his identity matched that of a killer from Bulacan.

Suarez’ brother insisted his innocence and pointed out that he’s from Sta. Rosa, Laguna and had been frequently leaving the country for Dubai. He also showed copies of his police and NBI clearance as proof.

Her brother immediately contacted Suarez, who happens to be a lawyer, to seek advice on how to handle the ordeal. Suarez then instructed her brother to let her talk to the personnel.

“Sabi ng kuya ko dun sa Kalbong taga Immigration kakausapin siya ng kapatid niyang abogado which is ako yun,” Suarez wrote on Facebook.

(My brother told the bald man from Immigration that his sibling, who’s a lawyer, will talk to him.)

Upon hearing this, the personnel told Suarez’ brother that there is no need for them to talk as the matter has been settled. Suarez’ brother also noticed that the immigration personnel were already moving away from him while he was talking on the phone.

Aside from Suarez, two other netizens claimed that they fell victim to the same scheme.

In the footage, the victim identified as Saphire Claire Ampad Alde of Purok 6, Barangay Tagapo, was seen taken by a young woman wearing a white shirt and a blue school uniform skirt.

According to the victim’s 27-year-old father Jason Alde, the incident took place inside an amusement center in a shopping mall. The child’s 21-year-old mother April Rose Ampad, who was present during the incident, didn’t assume that the young woman playing with Saphire would take her.

In a report by Tempo, Ampad said that Saphire had gone missing shortly after she and her cousins left her playing alone in the horse station in the amusement center.

The young woman was seen leading the toddler out of the establishment in the CCTV footage.

Alde told GMA News: “Nung nagpupumiglas po yung anak ko, inabutan niya ng candy tapos tumahimik na po yung anak ko. Hindi na po pumapalag. “

(When my daughter was trying to resist her, she gave her candy that pacified my child. My child didn’t resist anymore.)

He added: “Alam ko naiyak ang anak ko kasi hindi po nadede sa bottle yun eh,sa nanay niya lang po nadede yun eh.”

(I know that my child is crying now because she’s not used to drinking milk from the bottle as she is breastfed).

Abducted toddler now recovered

A certain Ronalyn Bascon Amoroto revealed on Facebook that Saphire had been recovered from her abudctor with the help of social media. Amoroto didn’t disclose the details on how Saphire was recovered but disclosed that someone saw and returned the child to her family. The post was made on Monday, January 12.
