Top 10 Passers: UST grad tops September 2016 Librarian board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released on Monday, the complete list of passers for September 2016 Librarian board exam. Karl Emmanuel Villanueva Ruiz, graduate of University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the licensure exam with 89.90-percent grade.

Holy Cross of Davao College alumna April Mae Badilla Delola ranked second with 89.25-percent grade.

Baliuag University grad Elaine Barbara Maglaque Cruz grabbed the third spot with 89.20-percent.

PRC announced that 738 out of 1,140 successfully hurdled the recent Librarian board exam.

Top performing schools, performance of schools Librarian board exam September 2016

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on Monday, September 26, that 738 out of 1,140 (64.74%) passed the Librarian board exam given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this September 2016.

PRC has recognized University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman as the no. 1 top performing school as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. UPD got 100-percent passing rate or 50 examinees successfully hurdled the series of tests.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Benguet State University (BSU)- La Trinidad ranked second and third respectively for having 94.44% (51 out of 54 examinees passed) and 86.36% (57 out of 66), respectively.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The two-day examinations covered the following subjects: library organization and management, reference, bibliography, and user services, indexing and abstracting (Day 1); cataloging and classification, selection and acquisition and information technology (Day 2).

PROBABLE RELEASE DATE OF EXAM RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 2015- 948 titled "Schedule of Licensure Examinations for Year 2016," the target release date of Librarian board exam results is on Monday, September 26 or in 3 working days after the exam.

In April 2015 exams, results were also released after 3 working days. A total of 349 out of 742 passed the Librarian Licensure Examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on Wednesday, September 21, that 2,899 out of 3,695 (78.46%) passed the Physician board exam given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao this September 2016.

PRC has recognized Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and Saint Luke's College of Medicine as the top performing schools per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. These schools garnered 100-percent passing rate.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released on Wednesday, the complete list of passers for September 2016 Physician board exam. University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Jeri Charlotte Albano topped the board with 89.50-percent grade.

Another UST alumnus earned the highest place, second place, Edwin Mark Lim Chiong who got 88.75-percent grade.

PRC has named a total of 2,899 out of 3,695 who have passed the recent examinations.

Room Assignment for LET September 2016 Baguio, Laoag, Rosales

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Baguio Regional Office has released the list of room assignment and guidelines for September 25, 2016 licensure exam for teachers (LET) or teachers board exam.

Testing centers for September 2016 LET to be handled by PRC Baguio include Baguio, Laoag and Rosales. On September 13, the covered areas per testing center was announced online.

Baguio testing center to serve LET takers from Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), some areas of Ilocos Sur, Region 3, Region 1, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Region 2 and Nueva Ecija; Laoag to cover Ilocos Norte and some areas of Ilocos Sur; while Rosales to handle areas of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac.

The partial list of examinees for elementary and secondary is now available online. PRC Baguio said that all other examinees will be posted as soon as their graduation is verified by their school.

The agency further advised takers to verify their application number on the day of examination from the room watchers or proctors assigned in their room.

"If you can't find your name in the list, kindly contact your school registrar to confirm to our online verification of academic records (OVARS)," PRC Baguio said.

Top 10 Passers: September 2016 Electrical Engineering REE, RME board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced on Wednesday, September 7, the complete list of passers for September 2016 Electrical Engineering - Registered Electrical Engineers (REE) and Registered Master Electricians (RME) board exam. Alfred Issac Rondina Ajo from Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) topped the REE with 92.40-percent average grade.

Pangasinan State University (PSU) - Urdaneta graduate William Micua Noces ranked second with 91.10-percent grade.
