MANILA, Philippines - One hundred eight (108) out of more than 1,000 blog entries made it to the finals of the Philippine Blogging Awards dubbed as the '
#Bloggys2015' to honor the finest bloggers in the country this year.
Finalists in the 17 categories of the premiere blog awarding event will have the chance to win awards such as Top Category Blog, Best Blog Design, Best Blog Post, People’s Choice, and Bloggys Champion.
TheSummitExpress.com, the Philippines' dynamic web journal is among the finalists for the News and Events category.

Bloggys 2015 committtee started to accept nominations in September with voting for the validated nominees run last month. A total of 2,693 nominations have been received and out of these numbers, 1,026 blogs went through the voting stage.
The organizer said that decisions on the finalists and primary category winners came from the
jury composed of Donald Lim, Chief Digital Head of ABS-CBN; Maria Ressa, Founder and CEO of Rappler; Janette Toral, Founder of DigitalFilipino.com; Abe Olandres, Founder of Yugatech; Anton Diaz, Founder and Multi-awarded Blogger of Our Awesome Planet; Cristel Gonzales, Digital Director of Universal McCann; Eduardo Mapa, CEO of Digital Arts Network Manila; Mannix Pabalan, CEO of Hashtag Digital (UAE); Norman Agatep, Managing Director of Havas Worldwide Manila ; President of IMMAP; Jojy Azurin, Co-Founder of Horsepower.ph; Ron Cirujano, Country Head of Upwork PH (Formerly Elance/oDesk); Sean Si, CEO and SEO Director of SEO-Hacker; JJ Disini, Associate Professor at U.P. Diliman College of Law; Founder of Disini Law Office; John Nery, Editor-in-Chief of INQUIRER.net; JM Nualla, Producer at CNN Philippines; Social Media Head of SubSelfie.com and Wilson Lee Flores, Columnist at Philippine STAR ; Real Estate Entrepreneur.
Blog entries were judged based on relevance, engagement, content, presentation, and X-Factor.
The announcement of category winners and major awards will be on Saturday, November 21 in the Bloggys 2015 Gala Night to be held at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura in Taguig City.
