Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 is coming soon: Audition schedule, news and updates

MANILA, Philippines - Kapamilya host and comedian Luis Manzano officially announced today, May 17, 2015 the Season 5 of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT), local franchise of the worldwide popular talent show 'Got Talent.'

"Kapamilya, kayo naman ang may chance na magpakita ng talento dahil malapit ng magbalik ang Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5. Dapat nyo'ng abangan," Manzano said.

The PGT host mentioned the comeback of PGT after the performance of Asia's Got Talent (AGT) grand winner El Gamma Penumbra and other Pinoy finalists Gwyneth Dorado and Junior New System on ABS-CBN's noontime variety show ASAP 20.


Filipino shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra became part of the third season of the PGT as grand finalist.

The national franchise has started airing in the Philippines on February 20, 2010. The second and a third season aired back to back in 2011 while the fourth season premiered on February 16, 2013. Winners of the talent competition include Jovit Baldivino, Marcelito Pomoy, the Maasinhon Trio, and Roel Manlangit. All four are singing acts. The winner of each season received ₱2,000,000.

Previous seasons of Pilipinas Got Talent franchise were hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano. In the new season, ABS-CBN is yet to confirm if the two will host the show and the possible changes on the line up of judges. Previous editions judges include actress and movie queen Kris Aquino, former ABS-CBN President and COO Freddie M. Garcia and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas. The latter already transferred to GMA-7.

PGT Season 5 Audition Schedule and Venue ( check back for more update):

ABS-CBN has no announcement yet for the major auditions where the judges are expected to visit some of key cities including Manila, Batangas, Cebu, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.

Aside from the major auditions, PGT will have mini-auditions where it can be held in several provinces and cities in the Philippines and judged by the staff of Pilipinas Got Talent.

On their winter inspired church wedding, the couple sealed their vows with a kiss at the Nuestra SeΓ±ora De La Soledad Parish in Tanauan, Batangas.

The garden ceremony followed at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort in Balete where the couple married for the second time.

The autumn themed dinner reception completed the John Prats - Isabel Oli's wedding.

Prats, who proposed to Oli in September of last year through a flash mob, was clad in a tuxedo designed by Bang Pineda, while Oli wore a Vera Wang gown.

The wedding ceremony was attended by family and friends of the celebrity couple including Sam Milby, Angelica Panganiban, and Prats' sister, former child star Camille Prats.

They have been together for more than two years. Prats is a regular host of ABS-CBN's late night gag show "Banana Split," while Oli, formerly with GMA Network, has appeared in number of shows in ABS-CBN.
