NAPOLCOM announces 2015 exam schedule, OLEASS and deadline of filing

MANILA - The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced today the schedule of PNP entrance and promotional examination this 2015. The bulletin also include details for Online Application Examination Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) and period of filing.



The first NAPOLCOM exam this year is set on Sunday, April 26. The online application scheduling (OLEASS) for entrance exam will open on February 16 to 20, 2015 while OLEASS for promotional exam will be activated on February 23-27, 2015.

Scheduling system for PNP Entrance and Promotional Examination is open up to the specified date. However, NAPOLCOM limits the number of applicants on quota-basis. Acceptance of application shall be on a first come, first serve basis.

Note: NAPOLCOM webpage for OLEASS will be available at 12nn from February 16, 2015 onwards.

Applicants shall utilize the on-line system to request the Regional Office for their schedule on the filing of examination application. Applicants will personally appear at the NAPOLCOM Regional Office on the date assigned to them, with their printed on-line confirmation letter and other required documents, for further evaluation.

"Only applicants with a confirmed schedule of appointment with reference number shall be entertained".

The National Police Commission conducts two sets of police examinations twice a year, one for those who are already in the police service (promotional), and another for those aspiring to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP entrance).

The On-Line Examination Application Scheduling System (OLEASS) was opened to systematize scheduling of processing of exam applications at the NAPOLCOM NCR office and 15 regional offices nationwide.

PNP Entrance exam is open to all Filipino citizens who are not more than 30 years old, bachelor's degree holder with 1.57 (female) and 1.62 (male) meters in height.

On the other hand, promotional exam is open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of PNP who meet the minimum qualifications standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility. PNP Promotional examination covers the following categories: Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, Police Inspector and Superintendent.

Pharmacist board exam was given in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo on Sunday and Monday, January 18 and 19, 2015.

The members of the Board of Pharmacy who have administered the exams are Ms. Mildred B. Oliveros, Chairman; Mr. Anthony Aldrin C. Santiago and Ms. Adelina C. Royo, Members.

The pharmacy licensure exam covers pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, practice of pharmacy (January 18) and pharmacology-pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics, quality assurance and quality control subjects (January 19).

Based on PRC Resolution No. 2014-874, the target release date of January 2015 Pharmacist lincesure exam is on Thursday, January 22 or in 3 working days after the exam.

In June 2014, PRC announced results after 2 working days. A total of 1,525 out of 2,779 passed the tests. Saint Louis University (SLU) was the rank one top performing school for its 95.76% passing rate ( 158 out of 165).

In January 2014 exam, results were available online after 3 working days. A total of 937 out of 1,759 passed the Pharmacy exams. Our Lady of Fatima University- Valenzuela topped the schools for having 83.33 passing percentage (90 out of 108 passed the exam).

Aside from the availability of results, registration schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short plastic envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2015-2018.

PRC advised that the successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Will Pope Francis return to the Philippines in 2016?

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle on Monday revealed the possibility that Pope Francis will return in the country next year for the International Eucharistic Congress.

Tagle said Pope Francis has been invited by the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to the event in January 2016.

In the press conference held after the departure of the Vatican pontiff on Monday morning, Tagle added that the congress will be held in Cebu. Meanwhile, the Pope has yet to decide whether he will come to the eucharistic event.

''Ngayon, dahil nga nagpunta na siya para sa ''Mercy and Compassion'', tignan natin. Kung pupunta siya, wow! Salamat,'' Tagle said.

The 51st International Eucharistic Congress will be held in Cebu from January 24 to 31 next year, with an expected 15,000 local and international delegates.

The Vatican pontiff's tweets in Filipino language became trending topic in the past days during his stay in the country. One of his tweets about the "youthfulness and vitality of the Church" already garnered 73,000 retweets as of press time.


Another papal tweet about "family as the greatest treasure of any country" has received thousands of interactions.


Pope Francis departed Manila at 10:12 a.m. via Philippine Airlines flight and is scheduled to arrive in Rome late afternoon.
